Flightplan - This starred Jodie Foster. I really didn't think this was that good of a movie but I've seen worse.
Red Eye - Rachel McAdams starred in this film. Enjoyable movie. I thought it would be lame but it wasn't bad. I was let down by Flight Plan so I didn't have much faith going into this film. But Red Eye was much better.

Yea what the fuck dude!? Huh I thought Red Eye sucked aside from the fact that the guy (see it was that bad.. I can't even remember his name!) was hot.

Flight Plan was awesome I thought!

Does anyone else have issues with the end of Apocalypse now? I watched the film and was glued to it - got completed immersed in it (sign of a good film I think) and then without giving too much away for anyone that hasnt seen it ...you have Brando. I mean his scenes add to his iconic status as an actor but I remember going away thinking it didnt quite work for me.

I imagine I need to watch it again. I hear that on set he refused to do the scripted part so just made it up.
By the way I think this was the orginal not the directors cut - is that better?

-Greg

The ending changed because once Brando got onset, he intentionally caused delays. This was due to his contract stating that if he was on set longer than a certain amount of days he would get paid extra. Part of his delay tactics were too bitch and moan about the script and refuse to shoot any scenes until it was re-written, which he would eventually wrote.

So the ending changed from Coppolas vision to Brandos'.

The Horror.

It seems that genius is always touced by a little madness.

Something that could perhaps apply to a certain redhead.

You are correct, there have been alot of people in the world that were both genius' and a touch insane at the same time. Unfortunately sometimes the madness prevails as history has seen.

'We didnt need dialogue - we had faces.' the inimitable Norma Desmond. I loved how the movie was narrated.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

Paul Newman...does wierd things to me.  But I like it.  If you get a chance, watch him in Cat on a hot tin roof.  The dialogue is great, being from a noted playwright and all.  And Cool Hand Luke is a must for any gnr fan!

If either of you are coming out to the west coast for gnr shows, stop by the Hollywood Forever Cemetery on a Saturday night. They play old movies on a giant screen in the lawn while you sit on the graves of Hollywood's past.  http://www.cinespia.org/
