Solid, entertaining - but remarkably unspectacuar - so unoriginal you are actually forcibly reminded where you had seen that exact same sequence before
..the bridge sequence, that was
Licence to Kill
fused with a boss fight in
Metal Gear Solid 2
Overall i left fairly content, Tom Cruise does well, stunts were okay, direction was okay - good way to start the film
However the bad guys are remarkably uncharismatic, the bad guy does...what exactly? Sell weapons? And?
Though deliberate, the ambiguity over the ''Rabbits foot'' is rather absurd - its difficult to care about the outcome of a silver tube, references to it as the 'anti-god' that destroys everything makes it a rather odd weapon - the bad guy is going to sell something that will destroy the earth, (and therefore himself too) to a buyer who wants to do just that......something a little strange there!
A few odd scenes -
The chopper baddy's stare at Mr Cruise for a while...and then decide to shoot him
Generic helper friend (male) and generic helper friend (female) talk about a prayer that gets cats back - and? The point being?
Inserting a bomb into so-and-so's head....why? Overkill surely?
Agent talking to Mr Cruise in a Kwike -mart about their ''plan'' when they could have gone outside away from people listening in?
Overall a 7/10, preferred M1:2 for better action and a better villian, but this is probably a better film, good not great, might as well go and see
oh...and its PAINFULLY LOUD, i thought the cinema i saw it in was fucked, but other said the same, it really is uncomfortably loud
from imdb review (not mine)
There apparently is no cell phone coverage in all of Shanghai except for a 10 foot square that Tom Cruise had to race to. 3 hours later an IMF (IMPOSSIBLE MISSION FORCE, I CRAP YOU NOT) agent is able to trace a cellphone call from the outskirts of Shanghai to downtown.
very true... a film with some curious bits to say the least

Scary Movie 4...
It WAS funny, but it seemed to drag on towards the end... and some of the humor near the end was also a bit careless and not thought through properly... I think the makers of the film are losing their enthusiasm and they should bring someone more zealous in to bring the next one (if they do one) back to the level of humor of the first one.
Not bad though... go see it... but have a toke on a bong first. THAT way, you'll find it hilarious.

The Woodsman - An brilliant film on many levels. It's a redemption film but in many ways it's more of a horror, especially as it's dealing with such an uncomfortable topic. The suspense is really powerful and Kevin Bacon is superb, but the ending didn't leave me wholly satisfied. Still: 8/10 again

Yes, i posted about this movie when it first came out.
Brilliant film and it kinda makes u feel bad cause u are pullin for Kevin Bacon even though u shouldnt.
I liked the ending, basically he stared down his demons and defeated them and his urges meaning he was on the road to recovery and maybe Healed.

The other night I watched the film, "Ray".
It was an emotional yet uplifting film about the musician's life.

Ya I liked Ray, i thought it was pretty good...have you seen Walk The Line..I thought that was a pretty cool movie about Johnny Cash...though I dont know how accurate either movie was but they were both pretty entertaining and thats what matters to me?

I've still got to see Walk The Line. Being a fan of Johnny Cash, I'm really fired up to see that film.
