Jim, you have some cool fucking taste, except for the Spurs thing.
That trilogy rules and Clint Eastwood is the daddy.

Once upon a time in the West should have been part of the Man with no name series after the GTBAU...
Red Eye was way overrated. Not only did she do everything to get her dad killed, but I hate it when the evil genius totally falls apart in the last 2 minutes of a film and turns into a bumbling idiot. But that guy is an awesome actor. Best Batman villain since Nicholson's The Joker.

You know it. Clint Eastwood owns... anyone!
I'm halfway through the Good, the Bad and The Ugly right now. I might finally watch Million Dollar Baby later, for a nice alternative slice of Clint desert.

Yea I know... but it was a direct reference to it. The dude who said it first said "It must be really cool, being like Crocodile Dundee and getting to say things like "That's not a knife! This is a knife!" and stuff like that".

Creepy as fuck.
And it's based on a true story!! Eeep!
Now I definately am not ever going backpacking in Australia!
I like at the end how during the post-script it mentions that there wasn't enough evidence to find the killer and that he still may be roaming the outback. Have a nice day!
As for movies, I saw "A History of Violence" this weekend. For some reason I thought it was going to be kind of dull. I'm thinking the marketers shouldn't have included the "history" and just called it "violence".
But I really liked it. There were some pretty explicit scenes, and even some relationship drama. It was kind of like a chick flick - but one with people getting their guts blown out with shotguns and nudity.

I got up today, fucked about, and then got back into bed to watch For A Few Dollars More.
Always worth it.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly > For A Few Dollars More > A Fistfull of Dollars.
Like a true trilogy! and they're all great.
Agreed
Although I was more moved by Once Upon A Time In The West.

I love Clint.
But I no way should it have been part of the series.
Charles Bronson is great.
arguably the best western movie of all time, arguably the best soundtrack to a film ever, and hands down the best openening scene ever.
What a film.

Watched Wolf Creek on DVD last night... my GOD that movie rocked!!
There's this one bit... the bad guy has one of the girls, and she's just tried to escape. She pulls out a penknife on him, and he yanks out this giant hunting knife, says "Like your friend said earlier... That's not a knife... THIS is a knife!" and he swipes it, and it cuts her fingers clean off!!!
Then, he yanks her up, and says "This is what they used to do in Vietnam when they had a prisoner who kept runnin' away..." and he sticks the knife in her back and severs her spine! Then he says "You can't move, but you can lie there and still give me all the information I need... plus I might have a li'l fun... ya know!"
Creepy as fuck.
And it's based on a true story!! Eeep!
Now I definately am not ever going backpacking in Australia!
I personally thought it was one of the most Gay movies Ive ever watched.
I totally didnt like it and had I not spent around 20 bucks on tickets and food, I wouldve walked out of it.

I will when it comes out on Friday!!
DAMN YOU ENGLAND!!! *shakes fist*
But I didn't think Wolf Creek was disappointing or gay! I thought it rocked! I mean... FOR ONCE there wasn't a "Good triumphs over Evil and Love conquers All" ending. If THAT had happened, THEN it woulda been gay! Totally gay!

so what about V for Vendetta ? lame again ?
does every superhero has to do kungfu ? does every trailer has to look the same ? the music, the voice, the fact that they show the whole story .....
movies.
Its not lame at all
He's not a superhero
He doesnt do kung-foo.
The trailer doesnt show the entire movie.
overall its a pretty solid film, drenched in shakespearean themes, sometimes overly dramatic, however fully justified as the mask is the symbol for drama afterall, some scenes I found slightly boring (was drunk),
Conservatice bellends and most americans will hate this film though.
id give it a 7/10
the mask was a GUY FAWKES mask...did you watch the movie?? hahah. V was a fantastic film. the fight scenes are the lamest part of the movie - the dialouge and the themes are the best part. Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman both give amazing performances.
As for "most americans will hate this film".....funny, b/c it was number 1 at the box office and most americans do not support the current administration at all. Are you sure you saw V for Vendetta, or are you confusing this with "shes the man"?? haha
just kidding. If anything, I doubt most people in the UK will like this movie!!! Esp the ending!!!!
