Just finished the all time great, Goodfellas. Damn fine movie.. Getting into my Soprano's mode.. All mafia all the time.
YES!! My most favourite movie of all time. Along with Casino!
De Niro and Pesci are just the best duo ever..

Yea I love that too!!!! Not my fav movie of all time but it is way up there on that very long list of my fav movies...
De Niro rocks... but he should pick some more serious flicks to be in. Not that "Meet the Fockers" crap. Yea its funny the first time, but hardly a classic like Casino or Goodfellas!
The only movie I've seen recently that was amazing was Walk The Line... oooh my fucking GOD that was good! Excellent movie. Shoulda won more Oscars than it did. Joaquin Phoenix shoulda got it instead of Reese Witherspoon. I don't hate her or anything, I just feel that Joaquin Phoenix deserved it more than she did. And he would have made a better, shorter, more funny speech. Witherspoon was just annoying after the first twelve seconds.

Casino? Classic? Meh, each to his own. It certainly isn't one of Scorsese's best.
The best Depp film that I have seen is probably Finding Neverland. I like him, I do think that he's a great actor, but I've just never been a huge fan.
Finding Neverland though...if you're looking for a fantastic cast, you don't get much better than Johnny Depp, Kate Winslet and Freddy Highmore, with a bit of Dustin Hoffman thrown in.
For anybody who hasn't seen it, anybody who can appreciate film, then you should go out of your way to see this one.

I haven't even seen the film yet and I'd give it to Joaquin in a flash!
I think he's great, definatly one of the best actors in Hollywood right. Have you ever read any interviews with him? He's such a cool guy.
His work with Shyamalan was incredible, I'd do anything for those two to work together again.
Unfortunaly, I doubt that's ever going to happen.

I haven't read any Phoenix interviews, but I've seen some on TV. He is a really cool guy!! Very likeable, and comes across as a reeeally nice man! Not the pathetic sort of "nice" which get all the blue-rinse brigade feelin their cheek-pinching urges, but the cool kind of nice!
And he's a great actor too!

Read, seen on tv...Same deal.
Aye, he doesn't come across as fake at all. He did an inteview that was in The Independant (I think that was where it was printed...) and he was talking about how much he hated all the promotion bullshit that comes with making a movie. Stuff about his brother as well, it was a cool read.
Though, do you know what his real name is?

We might be the only people who liked The Village
I agree he was excellent in The Village and Signs.
The next Shyamalan movie stars Paul Giamatti. Just those two names together give me hope for greatness.

Was born Joaquin Rafael, but at the age of four he decided that he wanted a more earthy name, like his elder siblings River and Rain, so while he was raking leaves with his father he decided on Leaf. In the early '90s he took back his birth name.

This movie "Failure to Launch" was like my auto biography,
I think my mom hired Journey to date me to get me out of the house.
This movie kicks ass, great romantic Comedy that isnt syrupy or corny but a very nicely done flick with a perfect cast.

My favourite of his is still Unbreakable though.
The way it is filmed, the script and the score make it easily make it one of the best film I have bought on DVD (without having seen it before) in the last two years.
He has a habbit of carrying over an actor from one film to the next (he's done it from Sixth Sense; in the case of Lady the brilliant Bryce Dallas Howard), so heres to hoping that Giamatti features in his next film, too.
