Butterfly Effect is a good flick ,but it doesn't stand up to well with age.

Ive watched it twice in the past 3 days and I love it just as much as the first time.

I think Ashton is a damn good actor in this movie.

The ending is sad but it leaves the possibility of hope, besides its a helluva lot better than having no arms and your woman with your best friend.

Has anyone watched the alternate ending?

Now that wouldve been gay if they had done that one.

In the alternate he goes back to when he was a fetus and chokes himself with the umbilical cord and dies.

I thought that ending was fucking intense man! However Im sure even Ashton Kutcher's groupies woulda revolted in the theatre if it was on the final release though hihi

I thought the ending was a cliff hanger of sorts and some are ok and others iritate me but this one I thought was bittersweet the way they incorporated "Stop crying your heart out" by Oasis. The song really fit the mood and emotion of both characters nicely.

By the way I watched the season finale from Nip/Tuck's second season..not a movie I know but it was extended because they always do that for last episode. This episode is insane, Sean and Christian find out their son, Matt's older girlfriend is actually a man after Christian goes inside her...literally... hihi

i went to see this at the cinema i loved the film then got it on dvd (Directors Cut) and was fucking like shit with the ending it was so unexpected after the happy one at the cinema but made my enjoyment of the film so much better ( on a side note at the cinema me and my friend nearly got kicked out at the beginning for laughing so much when the young lad goes into the home to see his dad in a hope to make him feel better and you have the scene where they are talking and then next thing his dads got him on the floor strangling him and the security guards enter and kill him with a blow to the head. Yeah im sure that didnt traumatise the wee nipper a full on comedy couldnt write somthing as funny as that scene)

Butterfly Effect - And everyone said its crap, but It was good actually and Oasis "Stop crying your heart out" at the end of the movie, was a cool touch.

Boogeyman - Wasn't a horrible movie but more disappointing then I thought it would be. I was hoping for a real good adrenaline rush but came away with nothing. hihi

I've only watched the directors cut, so I didnt know that wasn't the original ending. I liked that ending because it wasn't the usual happy ending. My problem though was how was he able to go back to that time?

The same question i have to ask, also If he didnt met the girl at the end of the movie because he went back and told her to stay away from him, he still have the memories from the alternative lives right? so he must remember the girl, am I right?  nervous

yes, He remembers everything that happened.

Remember in the DR's office, he said he had jammed 40 years of memories into his mind in *i cant remember how long*

So yeah, he knew her, knew she killed herself, knew he had been in prison, all of that.

Kujo u need to watch the theatrical version, It ends on a better note but is still sad and not altogether happy.

Its much better than the directors cut though, because u are right, he couldnt have went back to when he was a baby unless they had home movies of his mom giving birth.

What would you give it on a scale of 1 to 10?

Last film I saw was a documentary called Adrenaline Junkie. It chronicles Jack Osbourne climbing El Capitan mountain. It was very inspiring.

I managed to catch "Dirty Deeds" on TV tonight staring John Goodman and Toni Collete. This is a gangster movie set in Austrailia as a mobster played by Bryan Brown begins making a killing off of slot machines, he slowly attracts the attention of the American mafia and all out war slowly begins.

The overall movie was nothing memorable but worth a watch if only for the scenary of the lovely Austrailia ok

Watched Jerry Maguire last night. I'm no real Cruise fan but Cuba Gooding Jr. was excellent.

Over the holidays:

Munich - Entertaining, but too long.
Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban - Liked it, but still unsure about the series.
Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire - Best so far, still unsure about the series.
King Kong - Way too long... but had moments that gave me that "movie buzz" that's been missing since Back to the Future and Indiana Jones movies... rare moments, didn't justify the length.
Memoirs of a Geisha - Good, had a few problems with it though.
Batman Begins - Again... still fantastic.
