The Island - awful
It made no sense - they are used as spare parts...but are the same age as their 'original' - who'd want a 90 year old heart!
No acting talent, dire script - it was boring

Wedding Crashers. Funny movie, I really liked Vince Vaughn character. The story with Wilson and the girl was pretty boring I think, the rest was pretty fuckin funny. I had a lot of good laughs, which were needed, I really enjoyed it.
Oh, I saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith too: ouch. Pretty bad, not as bas as french movies (lol), but really not the great movie that they made it out to be. I wouldn't recommend it.

Grizzly Man
by Werner Herzog.
It's a sad but true story about a really weird guy called Timothy Treadwell who got eaten by a bear. Why was he eaten by a bear? Because he liked to camp out in the Alaskan wildlife refuge to 'protect' Grizzly bears, and become one with them.
Over 13 years, he shot many hours of video footage of himself petting these giant bears and essentially trying to live like a bear and become a bear. The movie takes parts of this footage to tell his story with interviews from all his weird ex-girlfriends and other buddies. He was even featured on David Letterman some years ago, but now he's dead. And his girlfriend too.
Go see it if you get a chance. You'll be compelled to laugh at him, mock him, and feel kinda sorry for him.

Deuce Bigalow, European Gigalo
the movie as a whole kind of sucks but it has double digit gross out laugh out loud parts which made it worth the 3 bucks I spent to watch it.
the movie is kinda lame but come on, if u want to be moved go watch Cinderella Man, if u want some cheap fun laughs, go watch this, just dont expect much more than what it is.

I watched "Dukes Of Hazard" and they totally desecrated the original TV series.
Bo and Luke were two down to earth great guys on the TV show but they were womanizing dip shits in this movie.
It was somewhat entertaining though, I cant say I disliked it only because i really dig Sean William Scott
Jessica Simpson was worth the price of admission alone *sorry baby*
Had some decent action and some good laughs, it was what I expected.

I rented the colorized version of "reefer madness" featuring a commentary from mike nelson of MST3K. It was very funny and if you've seen MST3K and like it then you should check it out.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the last movie I saw. I never saw the original so I can't compare, but I liked Johnny Depp, and my kids loved it. I'm going to go see the 40-year old virgin this weekend.

Dawn of the Dead
suprisingly good remake, i loved it, great soundtrack and great action, nearly as good as the original, it had a different feel to it and although it was similar i felt it was a good movie on it's own. I really want to see
Land of the Dead
now.
Dreamcatcher
it started so well and i was really into it but it just went downhill and got TOO weird and not in a good way, pretty poor in the end, although i loved Jonesy's interaction with the Alien when it was inside him.

Lets see, in the last few weeks:
Mr. and Mrs. Smith: Not great, not horrible. Had enough good moments to kill about 2 hours.
Sin City: Excellent movie. Some extreme overacting in parts but that fit the comic book idea.
40 Year Old Virgin: Started off slowly, very strong in the middle, then stalled towards the end. Still worth checking out though. I have a feeling I will like this alot better after watching it on video a few times, like Anchorman.

Sin City
I loved the cinematography. The story is fun, and I liked the characters. I could've done without the heavy dose of violence. I'm looking forward to the sequels to see how the story unfolds.

Watched this last night for the first time.... I'd say it was dancing along the line of being good or bad. I thought it was really good to look at, but the thrill of the visuals wore off as the movie went along. The narration started getting on my nerves after awhile, too. I thought they held the movie back in many cases. It was watchable (but I don't think I'd go out of my way to catch any sequels if they are made).
I also watched Four Brothers a couple of days ago. The chemistry between the leads carried the movie... Wahlberg was probably the best of the brothers, better in this than I've seen in other movies. I knew what I was going to get going in, and the movie delivered. Great way to kill an afternoon with a hangover.
Also rented Boyz N Tha Hood last week... good stuff.
