Blast From The Past - Really funny romantic comedy, great supporting role by Christopher Walken and one of the only decent Alicia Silverstone films i have seen since CluelessBrendan Fraser seems to be making a career out of playing the dim-witted likeable geek.

Yeah really , no good imaginations anymore in Hollywood. Today there are more sequels and remakes to movies than actual original movies Undecided The acting blows ass crack, movies aren't alive anymore like they used to be. Remember the last Academy Awards ? When Chris Rock as the host said there are like hundreds of actors/actresses but only like 4 good ones.

Imitation Of Life

It's an old movie, but it has a great moral message.

The Man in The Iron Mask

Poor dialogues... Luckily,  Jeremy Irons contributes a degree of refinement to this rather badly told story.
Plus he is sexy even as a Jesuit priest. As for me, Leonardo could have stayed in that mask as long as it pleased the the movie makers.  smoking

I saw the notebook.  A lot of people have been saying it was really good, so I decided to watch it.  It was ok, kind of depressing.  I doubt I'll watch it again.

I watched "In The Name Of The Father" a few days ago. It's a true story about 4 Northen Irish people (The Guildford 4), (but follows the most famous of those, Gerry Conlon, and his father Guiseppe). Who got wrongly accused and imprisoned for the Guildford pub bombings in London, which happened during the IRA bombing campaign. The London police arrest Gerry and his friends for the bombings and also his family (for supposedly storing weapons for the four) under the Prevention of Terrorism Act. Gerry and his friends are brutally tortured by the London police, who also tell Gerry they will shoot his father if he does not confess. So after being subjected to this torture Gerry signs forms saying he was behind the bombings. As does Paul Hill (another of The Guildford Four) who had a gun put in his mouth to make him admit the (false) guilt of himself and the rest of the Four aswell as Gerry's family. The movie cronicles the abuse of the Four (mostly Gerry) during their arrest, interrogation, and time in prison, during which the real offender comes forward and claims guilt. However Gerry, his father and the rest of his friends and family remain in prison, because the London police refuse to admit that they wrongly imprisoned them. Gerry and his father are regularly beaten, insulted, threatened, and also have their food urinated in, in prison. Gerry's father starts a campaign to get him, Gerry, their family, and the rest of the four released in the wake of the confession of the real bomber. It is not until after Guiseppe's death that Gerry begins to get involved in the campaign that his father and a London lawyer, started. The campaign gains Gerry, his family and the rest of the Four freedom. But to this day, no charges have been carried out against the officers that abused Gerry, and concealed evidence from the courts that proved his innocence. And no compensation has been given to Gerry's family for the death of Guiseppe Conlon.

I really enjoyed this film, and admire the courage of the Four and the others who were arrested. I also feel this film is very relevent to what is going on with Terrorism lately. It teaches us not to let it effect prejudices. Gerry was wrongfully accused of the bombings because he just happened to be Irish and in the area. That, I feel has a powerful message to properly investigate terrorist acts and not to throw the first Irish/Muslim man that is found to be in the area at the time of the attacks in prison. 10/10

Napoleon Dynamite is ok but drags on and loses its gimmick after awhile and becomes dull in my opinion

Great movie if u can seperate it from the original

Johnny Depp's weirdest most eccentric performance yet.

Johnny Depp's weirdest most eccentric performance yet.
More so than his Fear And Loathing in Las Vegas performance?

Bubba Ho-Tep...awesome film, loved it probably one of Bruce Campbell's only performances outside of the Evil Dead Trilogy that really does this great actor justice.? Very funny film and it benefits from it's B-Movie style, no flashy effects just a wonderful script and performance ok
