- Best film I have seen for a while. I thought it was going to be like The Babadook when it started, but it evolves into a different story completely, although it is still about motherhood. It is about a woman and her child who live in a room, and the story evolves from there. Very thought provoking
Spotlight
- Again, another great film and one that opens your eyes to the world we are living in.
The Good Dinosaur
- I always like the Pixar films. This one starts slowly and feels quite babyish for a while. A nice story develops though and it is a little sad at the end in a nice way.

Capitan American : Civil War
Really great super hero movie. Vision is played a little weak I thought though. He could pretty much destroy everyone if he wanted to I think, but was busy fighting a guy in a bird costume
Love how they are going back to a young spiderman. I thought that came off very well.

I loved Civil War.
I usually like the X Men movies more... but Civil War was ten times better than Apocalypse.

10 Cloverfield Lane.
Very cool movie. Totally different from the original Cloverfield. Actually think it should be better with the original title with no mention of Cloverfield at all.

I've been sick the past couple weeks and a couple nights ago did an F13 marathon....parts 3, 5,6, 7, and 9. Holy hell do these movies not hold up very well at all. I always loved 3 but I even found that one lacking. part 7 is just pure cheese.

Conjuring 2. Excellent
Once I'm doing better(and hopefully very soon) I plan on going to watch that.

Independence Day: Resurgence
- Really fucking bad, I was embarrassed quite alot from the 2nd act onwards.
I liked the original for what it was as a big budget 90's blockbuster where Americans save the world, but this was unforgivable. Too many logic gaps/plot holes, that it almost seemed like a parody by the end.

Zootropolis
- I wasn't expecting much to be fair, but I really enjoyed this one. Great characters and a fin story
Batman vs. Superman
- I am usually a fan of these films, but this one disappointed. I didn't like the feel of the film and didn't really get into the characters or the story.
10 Cloverfield Lane
- I enjoyed this one. I liked not knowing how the film was going to end, and when the ending came it didn't disappoint. If you like a film with twists then this one is not bad
Alice Through The Looking Glass
- Quite bizarrely, I preferred this one to the first one. It was more straightforward and story led. It is not the best film in the world, but I went into it expecting it to be rubbish, as alot of sequels normally are. I always like Sacha Baren Cohen, he is always charismatic.
Zoolander 2
- Very average and not very funny. Watchable enough but all very forced
Sing Street
- A great coming of age film, but it ends when the story is just taking off, that was the only disappointment for me.
Captain America - Civil War
- Another good film in the series. There were parallels with the Superman Batman film, but because of the familiarity with the characters it was easier to watch.
Angry Birds Movie - This was not that great. It is watchable for kids, but I wouldn't watch it again

Not really a film, but I strongly recommend the Netflix series Stranger Things. Its a very good mix of the 80s culture with some Stephen King, Spielberg and even some JJ Abrahms for good mesure.

I have a question to anyone who have seen the new Jason Bourne movie. I love the trilogy but then I didn't care at all bout The Bourne Legacy. Is the new Jason Bourne movie worthy?

I found it thoroughly enjoyable, abeit a slight letdown after the almost 10 year wait. The story plods far more than the other films but is redeemed by some fantastic action scenes and a truly incredible car chase through the Vegas strip.
Joan Allen definitely should have been involved, nonetheless.

Eddie the Eagle
- This was good fun, if a little formulaic. One has to admire Eddie and his drive when he was younger.
London has Fallen
- A fair sequel to Olympus has fallen. It is a completely over the top action film with some good action scenes.
Allegiant
- Switched it off. I liked the earlier films, but the series has lost it's way.
Now You See Me 2
- I enjoyed it, lots of twists. Probably best to see the first one before this.
Conjuring 2
- For a horror film, this was very good. Best film I have seen for a while. It is similar to the first one but set in London.

Rogue One
Loved it. Won't try and spoil anything. But certain parts with certain people were very very cool
Loved the different planets and references to Star Wars lore.

La La Land
- I'm not sure I get this one. I saw it once, and thought it was quite average. The songs are quite average, the singing is quite average and the story feels slow. City of Stars had a nice tune to it, and it's melody works well throughout the film. The acting and script were fine, but I didn't get that emotional connection with the characters or the film as a whole. It fails as a musical for me. I saw it a second time just to be sure, but apart from the songs feeling more familiar, it was still very average.
Arrival
- This was very watchable, nicely acted and I appreciate the depth of story that is there. For me, it lacked a sense of urgency, and the ending, although I got the general gist of it, was a little confusing.
Hidden Figures
- Brilliant film. An interesting story, brilliant acting by the cast, and it run at a good pace. I saw the Timeless episode which brushes against the story told here, so I went in with a slight idea as to the story.

Watched Snowden on DVD this week, really interesting and well done. I like Oliver Stone (director).

Eye in the Sky is brilliant. Flat out brilliant. The tension builds throughout even though there is not much action. The writing is superb. It raises all sorts of ethical, moral, and policy questions. Watch this movie!
