COLD IN JULY. Very interesting independent film with Michael C Hall. Fans of TRue Detective would probably like it. Wyatt Russell may be the next Brad Pitt. Goldie and Kurt's son and half brother to Kate Hudson is drop dead gorgeous. Very different role for Michael than Dexter. Also saw the Trouble with Bliss another independent film with Michael. It was interesting as well. Great butt shot of Michael peace hihi ok

Just saw Godzilla in 3D today, great! The special effects are excellent. Giants lizards are so cool.

Litmanen! The Ajax-star. Remember him most of all from Championship Manager in the 90's.

Last film I saw: Frozen. National-romantic it was...

Gone Girl Quite a bizarre experience. It was not my choice, I thought it was a flick chick, I got dragged along. But, wow, what a film. It is a film to be discussed afterwards, I have my own ideas on the process of it being written.

My top film of the year so far, possibly

Yes I saw Gone Girl too and i was blown away by it.
I went to see it because Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross made the soudtrack, which was awesome too.

Im not a movie guy but this became one of my fav movies, now i only want so see it again.

Strongly recommended 5/5 id say that this is a movie that is better watched alone. you might need a few minutes to yourself after it.

I saw Gone Girl a few weeks ago and was thoroughly disappointed. The entire film seems like a borderline ripoff of the far superior Presumed Innocent with Harrison Ford.

The Babadook - The central performances of the two main characters in this film were amazing, especially the young boy. The film itself is quite bizarre. I enjoyed it, but I saw it as a horror and as a surreal dark comedy. At the same time, one could look at it as a more serious film which examines the mindset and paranoias of the mother. On he other hand, you could just see it as a slightly silly horror film made watchable because of the two main characters. I enjoyed it though

Kaze Tachinu (The Wind Rises).

Had to see it because I am a big Miyazaki fan. The movie was about an airplane designer and how his dreams were able to be manifested into reality. It's crazy how people are able to bring about creations that didn't used to exist into the world, almost like they are an extension of some creative universal force. The artwork was great as was the music. The planes looked amazing. Not my favorite subject matter, I'd be lying to myself if I said I didn't want to see mythical creatures and warriors in an Asian themed fantasy land but I still liked it anyhow. Seems to be Miyazaki's least understood piece and least popular with younger audiences. I'd think he would have done something more conventionally Ghibli for his last film before retirement but I suppose he made the film he wanted to make and he has always been into planes and mechanical things so I can see how it made sense for him to make this kind of film instead.
