Oscar season is coming to an end, it looks the like Lego Movie is the film to see, I am yet to see it though
Robocop
-This is actually ok. Remaking films, or 're-imagining' films, is a dangerous path to follow, but this was actually done ok. I can see people liking this, and the package as a whole, including the story and the acting, is actually pretty good. I saw the original, and thought that was ok as well, I preferred the computer game more at the time. No 20 seconds to comply this time around, it is slightly more thought provoking, but only slightly.

MUPPETS MOST WANTED. Before there was TED there was Kermit the Frog!
Cute film. Constantine the world's most dangerous frog was hilarious. VERONICA MARS. Really great fan financed film. Really makes me want to share my totally awesome DEXTER fan fiction with Michael C Hall. Which I am going to do when I see his play in NYC in June!!

Captain America 2
- It is a fine film. My other half did not appreciate it, said it was too long and too military, but I liked it, and I liked the story. The Captain America films, generally, seem to be more about advancing the Avengers story and other minor character stories which makes them different from the other films, like Thor, which are more focussed on the main protagonists. I like the Winter soldier here though. He seems interesting and I hope he returns.

Rio 2
- Brilliant fun. There were some great catchy tunes, and I liked the story. It is slightly better than the first Rio film, and it is not worth seeing in 3D

American Hustle. The wife and I actually thought it was pretty boring. I gave it a B, she, a C. The story line was ok IMO, but at almost 2.5 hours it was way too long. Plus, not much action. I don't get why it was nominated for an Oscar.

Amazing Spiderman 2
- For me, this is far and away the best Spiderman so far out of the last five. The new guy has really grown into his role as Spierman, and betters Toby Maguire quite easily. The baddies were great and the story leads itself nicely into a third film
Transcendence
- I was quite disappointed with this. The like the concept of the film, the actors were all fine and the story went at a good speed, but it was all pretty basic really, not overly exciting and not very thought provoking (which I thought it would be). As a film in itself though, it is all very watchable.

Noah
- It is what it is. I was naughty throughout and made fun of it, but it was ok as a film. I will wiki the OT stories, it all seemed a little too soap opera, the story, for the Bible. Noah is a vegetarian with a son named Ham? There was no focus on the animals at all, and it had Ray Winstone as a main character, which automatically relegates it to Life of Brian status as a serious film. Noah's wife acted well, the Perks of a Wallflower gang were ok, and Russell Crowe was ok too. However, for a biblical film, it was not made correctly.

Godzilla. Really liked it. Could've done without the family stuff in the movie though.

Yeah, a friend saw Edge of Tomorrow and really liked it. I have not had a chance to see it yet. I saw the Xmen movie and enjoyed that, apart from that though, I have not seen anything else recently.

Jersey Boys
To be fair, I was not expecting too much. As a musical film it is cliche, and follows the usual formula for films of this ilk. There is something peculiar here though. The underlying story of friendship and fallout strikes a chord, Eastwood always seems to latch onto something that makes you want to continue watching. After a slow start, there was enough to keep you watching and enjoy the humour and the music. The ending is cliche, but fun, and this has, oddly, turned out to be great film in it's so strange way, possibly one of my favourite films of the year so far. It is odd.

Malifacent - I give it 8/10 as I love those mixed human & fantasy movies. Strangely enough I had to read the story of Sleeping Beauty the night before I went as I realised I didn't know the full story. Angelina Jolie is great of course but all the actors were superb and it's not that often I can leave a cinema satisfied that the choice of movie was good.
