California Man (Encino Man).

This is my 3rd or 4th time seeing it, and it is still a cool and funny teen movie. I liked the comedic value and also the true issues teenagers face, like friendship and relationship problems.

There is also an Axl reference, when the two teenagers are working out a name for the caveman (Brendan Fraser). One says how about Axl, and then he does the snakedance stance.  Grin

My favourite performance in this movie is from Pauly Shore, he plays his role brilliantly.

Saw the recent Narnia film. I enjoyed Eustace, but the film was off key. It was ok, but nothing more. I hope they carry on the series and do Episode 4 and 7, and miss out 5 and 6.

I am interested in hearing opinions other current films whether US or Europe.

I went to see it last weekend and I really enjoyed it. Started off hating Eustace but towards the middle of the movie I loved him  Tongue Also i'm not a fan of peter, never was.  All in all I really liked it..perhaps my favorite of them.

TRUE GRIT. Awesome film, but the young girl steals the show from matt Damon and Jeff Bridges!

Also saw Charlie St Cloud on the airplane. Cool supernatural romance right up my alley. Zac Efron has a much bigger future than Robert Pattinson.

Three Oscar contenders . . .

Black Swan--- Best movie I've seen in quite awhile. It's directed by Darren Aronosky, the same guy who did Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler, two of my favorite films. And I think Black Swan is kind of a cross between the two. Like all of his films, it's about obsession, with Natalie Portman's character determined to put on the perfect performance, no matter what it takes. There's a lot of subtle things early on in the movie that happen so fast, you'll like, Did I really just see that or am I imagining things? Then, as the movie goes on, things become increasingly intense and chaotic. There were some genuinely creepy scenes in this movie that really freaked me out. The performances are all great. The movie isn't for everyone, but I loved it and I can't wait to see it again. It's also one of those movies that everyone can have a different intepretation of, since there's a lot of ambiguity.

True Grit--- Very good movie, although I was a slightly disappointed. I wish it had been about thirty minutes longer. It feels very short. The performances are all great, though. Matt Damon's character was especially hilarious. I think the trailers are a bit misleading. I know a lot of people went into it expecting a lot more action, but it's very dialogue driven. It doesn't feel like a Coen Brothers movie, either, for some reason. Still, a very good movie, and I'm glad that the Western genre is starting to make a return.

The Fighter--- Just saw this yesterday. Fantastic movie, great story, very uplifting. Christian Bale is AMAZING in this movie. He singlehandely makes this movie, in my opinion. Without him, it would've been nowhere near as good. The fact that it's all based on a true story makes it even more powerful.

The Color of Money - Paul Newman is terrific, but the rest of the movie outside of the pool scenes is pretty mediocre

I know this one is an oldie but the last film I saw was The Burbs, featuring Tom Hanks and Corey Feldman. This is one of my favourite movies and have liked it since I first saw it on some channel years ago.

The humour and comedic element is what makes this movie very funny and watchable. All the actors are on top form, and the Klopeks are funny as hell and portray the typical odd murderers perfectly.
