went for a different style of movie over the last week...a style i sometimes enjoy quite a bit...

500 Days of Summer ----I thought it was a really good movie.

About A Boy---Not the first time i'd seen it but it always entertains.

Notting Hill----Also not the first time i'd seen it but i really like it a lot.  smoking

Taken (2008) - I thought this was definitely a good movie starring Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace.

Transsiberian (2008) - Starring Emily Mortimer, Kate Mara, and Woody Harrelson. This was another good movie I had been waiting to come on t.v. for a while now.

Taken is badass!

The Hangover....finally. It had gotten so much hype I figured I was set up for disappointment. But not so, thought it was hilarious.

I finally saw the New CHRISTMAS CAROL with Jim Carrey. I loved it! I felt like I was flying with him, and I thought the Ghost of Christmas past was fab! It still made me cry like every other version!

Ninja Assassins.. it was fun

i want to see it, but its not around here yet.

i saw Avatar in the morning, its cool, i would have like a little more time in action scenes and a little less time in the human world (although it was necessary). i have read that the script from the 90s had a lot more stuff in it, i will try to find it.

Avatar: Saw it in IMAX-3D, and it was fucking amazing, the exact definition of "Epic." Has James Cameron ever made a bad film?

The Messenger: I had never even heard of this film until recently. Seems like it's playing in very few theaters. If you get a chance, though, you should check it out. Probably one of the better films to come out this year. Woody Harrelson is amazing in it.

Brothers: Decent movie. Tobey Maguire is very good in it, but the movie is never as powerful as it aims to be. A cool premise, but it had a lot more potential.

just saw Blade Runner for the 2nd time.. still just a okay movie. Don't see what all the fuss is about. The concepts are interesting as well as some of the subtle hints but the execution isn't what I'd call mind-blowing. Everything's pretty easy to pick up on. Great atmosphere though.

Awesome movie with a reported price tag of $300 million  Shocked

I also watched District 9 a while ago, and I liked that as well. Humans joining forces with alien races makes for fun storytelling.
