PUBLIC ENEMIES. A great film that guys will love. Johnny Depp makes you feel great empathy for John Dillinger. For all his faults, he was truly loyal to his friends. And If I were Billie Frachette, I totally would have fallen in love with him. The movie makes you think, who are the real bad guys in this world. The prison system was largely responsible for creating John Dillinger. Sending a young man to prison for 10 years in the state pen for a $50 robbery? And the FBI and cops were fairly corrupt and egotistical themselves. The doomed love affair between Billie and Johnny was very touching.

Will see this and Sister's Keeper soon.

Was Public Enemies a slow moving film? I noticed it clocked in at 2 and a half hours.

WALL?E (2008) - I thought this was a very enjoyable film. I believe it's the first Pixar movie I've ever scene as well.

Henry Poole Is Here (2008) - This was better than expected. I hadn't heard much about it but decided to give it a try and enjoyed it.

The Dark Knight (2008) - This movie turned out exactly how I thought it would be. Over hyped is an understatement for the film. Heath's portrayal as "The Joker" was the only thing that was worth seeing. Everything else was typical 'shove your face with popcorn and candy fat ass' while you watch the movie.

The Dark Knight received extra hype because of Ledger's death. It is a perfectly good movie in it's own right.

If you enjoyed WALL-E, you should check out other films by PIXAR. I hear UP is a good movie for 2009

PE did not seem that long. It moved fairly quickly IMO. I guess they changed the ending to Sister's Keeper for the movie. I didn't read the book, but I think the book's ending was more powerful.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen: I actually enjoyed the first Transformers film. I thought it was a fun, mindless, summer popcorn movie. But the second one was just god-awful. That's the longest 2 1/2 hours I've ever spent in a movie theater. I thought the movie was almost over at one point and I looked at my watch and saw that there was still a hour and a half left. The moved dragged on and on and on. The first film had humor, but this one is terribly unfunny. The transformers got on my nerves with their stupid, juvenile dialogue. The whole movie just sucks.

Public Enemies: I was really looking forward to this one, but I found it a bit disappointing. I mean, it's still a very good movie. But considering the people involved in the film, it should've been a GREAT movie. Johnny Depp is my favorite actor, and he's awesome in this as he always is, but something still felt lacking. And Christian Bale, whom I'm also a big fan of, didn't seem to have much to work with; he seems flat in this movie.

Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen in Imax.

Went in expecting an action laden, story light, summer popcorn flick that looked and sounded amazing and got just that.

Transformers 3 MUST HAVE BUMBLEBEE KICKING STARSCREAM'S ASS!  Bay must make it so....

TRANSFORMERS 2. I liked the beginning and the end, but I fell asleep in the middle. It was a little too long, but I did love Optimus Prime. I was really disappointed that they didn't show the NEW MOON trailer, which was one of the reasons I went to see it. It was overall a good action film, and not as bad as the reviewers said.

I just saw Bruno and all I can say is don't waste your money. It's so blatantly obvious that big parts of the movie are staged and that just takes alot of fun out of the movie. It has some funny parts the song at the end is pretty funny. I lol'd when slash chased bruno away with his guitar. It's an ok movie at best, Borat is much better that's for sure.

It wasn't Borat but I still laughed my ass off bout 10 times. it was good for what it was. Didn't really think about the staged parts. Just took it for the comedy it was.

Bruno: I agree it doesn't come anywhere close to the comedic genius of Borat. There are still a lot of funny moments, but overall I was pretty disappointed with it. And the movie does feel much more staged than Borat, too, which I agree takes some of the fun out of it. I had no idea Slash was going to be in it, though, so that was a cool surprise at the end.
