XANADU. It was cheaper to get the soundtrack with the movie so I ordered it. I have seen the musical XANADU 3 times which totally makes fun of the movie. The movie was truly one of the worst pictures ever made. The songs are good though.

I have to admit this film being a guilty pleasure of mine.  I love the music.
I love the music too. You would adore the musical.

OK, two days ago I finally sat through Twilight and I had to stop it 3 times because I just couldn't take the horrible acting.  The guy wasn't even that bad but the chick was horrible.  I just had to see it for myself though.  Her huffing and puffing and emo-ness were enough to make me roll my eyes through the whole thing but shame on me for sitting there!  I have seen better acting in those ABC After School Specials they used to play back in the 1980s.

(I am pregnant though and spend a lot of time sitting around these days and good film always seems to be scarce in the beginning of the year)

Right now I am halfway through a film called "So ist Paris" and it is wonderful so far.  I am really enjoying it.  Just seeing all the sights in Paris that I haven't seen in 7 or 8 years is nice and the film is really enjoyable as well.  Love Juliette Binoche.

Twilight is for kids really. The first half of the film was a little strained, but it stretched out into a watchable movie, and franchise.

I'll go and see the next chapter.

Sadly, I will probably watch it too since now I started, hahaha.  With someone else in the role of Bella I may have enjoyed it more, she just made it seem extra cheesy to me.

Vignettes=little stories?  Either way that's what I meant by it, nice little film.
Just watched today, whatever I kind of liked it, but your right Bella was boring in the worst way, my daughter will be getting the set of books on Wed, can't decide if I want to read them or just wait for the movies Roll Eyes

Mmk so clearly i'm an idiot and wrote my response inside what I quoted. Anyways what I said was you should read them, they are really great. It all gets better after Twilight.

Kevin Costner and Kelly Preston:  For Love of the Game.  Some baseball movie.  Extremely flawed movie.  Quite predictable.  I am a sucker for sports movies though.  Tolerable.

Kelly Preston is one terrible actress.  If I'm not mistaken, at one time I thought she was hot...definitely not in this movie.

Fast & Furious. Good for some cheap thrills and adrenaline rushes.

Evan Almighty.  Hmm.  Makes ya wonder how any rational person could believe the bible is the literal word of god.
I guess it's a nice metaphor for kids...but logical adults?  Hilarious.  Moronically hilarious.  The movie on the other hand was mildly entertaining...and I emphasize mildly.  Hmm, 4.5 out of 10.

ADVENTURELAND. It was good, but if Kristen Stewart were not in TWILIGHT, I don't think she would be a major star. She is very EMO in this movie.

Forget Twilight, that chick looks like she needs a few hours on the beach and a heavy course of iron therapy.

I like her, it's just that She would just be an indie actress if she weren't in a movie that had such a hardcore fanbase. Where is Ellen Page since the delightful Juno?

Well she is fixing to film a movie by the guy who does the new batman film. And her co-star is the guy from a little film called Titanic.

Good for her! Cheesy You have to admit that the exposure she got in TWILIGHT gave her a greater chance at  getting that role.

To a certain degree yeah. But not as much as one would think. Especially for a film that I believe was casted before the whole twilight thing.

That is true.  She is a very beautiful girl.I just think that based on her performance in ADVENTURELAND, she would not be perched on the verge of major stardom like she is now from being in TWILIGHT. Go see ADVENTURELAND, it will make you laugh and answer the eternal question from AVENUE Q the musical, "WHAT do you do with a BA in ENglish?"
