This is a thread about movies we've seen, expect people to actually describe them.

Now, let's all get over it, ok?

Knowing - Thought it was a really good movie until the end when some sort of mystical beings show up. Ruined it.

Well thanks for ruining it for the rest of us.

Mmmhmm sure did. just gave it allllllll way. just told you everything that happened. every moment.
Giving away the ending wasn't very nice. Some people might have liked that ending.

I don't quite understand how I gave away the ending. I just never said what exactly they were just " mystical beings " didn't say what they wanted, what they do, what they say. NOTHING.
But it does, because most people would not see that coming.

Well if you watch the movie you would see it comming. it's not like I spoiled it.

Anyways, I am not arguing about this anymore with you because you don't know what you're talking about. Go see the movie then you can see how you are wrong. If you really want me to spoil the movie I can start talking about EVERYTHING that happens from start to finish. Me stating my opinion about the smallest thing not going into detail does not ruin the movie.
Fair enough.

I was thrown for a loop, too, but I could see what they were trying to do. It just wasn't as good as they could've done it. Still, I loved the movie.

You still have to be considerate for other people who may not have seen the movie. You can talk about the movie plenty without giving away major pieces of the plot. Jagged Little Pill could've just said, "I hated the ending." He may not have been super detailed, but he still gave away a significant plot point that I would not have known originally. I don't have any interest in seeing that particular movie anyway, but other people on here might. Now they know the "twist" at the end, which kinda spoils some the movie a little bit.

It's like being in Blockbuster, trying to find a movie to rent. You take one off the shelf, you're reading the back of it, and some dude comes up and says, "Oh, the main character dies at the end."

A.  I am fairly sure the little pink symbol indicates she is a SHE.

and

B.  I am also fairly certain her point wasn't to ruin your movie watching pleasure.

You also state you don't even care to see the movie so maybe it's best you stop whining.

you would be right if infact what I said was an actual major part of the movie.

It is not. so get over it.

"The Boy in the Striped Pajamas"

It was very moving, but incredibly sad, probably the saddest movie I've ever seen.

I agree. This movie was not what I expected. PEOPLE magazine described it best as " THe FEEL BAD Movie of the year". I felt like somebody kicked me in the stomache at the end. I just stared at the movie screen. The little boys were so adorable. This story was originally a children's book.

It is not. so get over it.

But I can't. I wake up everyday thinking about it. I'm obsessed with it, consumed by it. The entire world of cinema has been ruined for me forever just by your one little post, dude.

The Three Burials of Melquies Estrada: I remember seeing previews of this movie a couple years ago, and I thought it looked cool, but then it came out and nobody really saw it, and afterwards I couldn't remember the  name of it. But I finally came across it and rented it. It's kind of a modern western, I guess, directed by and starring Tommy Lee Jones. It was good, not great. The plot was a bit meandering at times.

OK, two days ago I finally sat through Twilight and I had to stop it 3 times because I just couldn't take the horrible acting.  The guy wasn't even that bad but the chick was horrible.  I just had to see it for myself though.  Her huffing and puffing and emo-ness were enough to make me roll my eyes through the whole thing but shame on me for sitting there!  I have seen better acting in those ABC After School Specials they used to play back in the 1980s.

(I am pregnant though and spend a lot of time sitting around these days and good film always seems to be scarce in the beginning of the year)

Right now I am halfway through a film called "So ist Paris" and it is wonderful so far.  I am really enjoying it.  Just seeing all the sights in Paris that I haven't seen in 7 or 8 years is nice and the film is really enjoyable as well.  Love Juliette Binoche.

Twilight is for kids really. The first half of the film was a little strained, but it stretched out into a watchable movie, and franchise.

I'll go and see the next chapter.

Sadly, I will probably watch it too since now I started, hahaha.  With someone else in the role of Bella I may have enjoyed it more, she just made it seem extra cheesy to me.

Vignettes=little stories?  Either way that's what I meant by it, nice little film.
Just watched today, whatever I kind of liked it, but your right Bella was boring in the worst way, my daughter will be getting the set of books on Wed, can't decide if I want to read them or just wait for the movies Roll Eyes

Read them. TWILIGHT starts off a little slow, but once I got to the last 100 pages I spent the next 2 weeks reading all the other books. If you fall under Edward's spell you won't be able to put them down. Listen to TIL alot too! Wink

XANADU. It was cheaper to get the soundtrack with the movie so I ordered it. I have seen the musical XANADU 3 times which totally makes fun of the movie. The movie was truly one of the worst pictures ever made. The songs are good though.

3:10 to Yuma (2007) - Starring Russell Crowe and Christian Bale. I had hoped this was be good but I was definitely let down by the film.

88 Minutes (2007) - Starring Al Pacino, Alicia Witt, and Leelee Sobieski. It was an okay film but nothing special. The best thing about the movie was all the nice looking girls who were starred.

I have to admit this film being a guilty pleasure of mine.  I love the music.
