Last Film You Saw.

I really can't see what's so great about that Twilight movie! I've only seen parts of it on tv, and it looks like teenage angst / fluff mostly. Tell me that's not the case and MAYBE I'll go see it. How would you compare it to, say, Interview With The Vampire?

I am so with you on this.  I actually heard the books were just as bad as the movie.   Everyone of my friends that went to see it because they were seriously interested came out laughing.  It's for emo teens. 

I don't think "Interview With the Vampire" was done properly either.  I don't think anyone can truly capture Rice's vision when writing those books.

She never read any of the Ann Rice novels and she never saw Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I think people like TWILIGHT because Rob Pattinson is such a gifted actor that he really brings Edward Cullen to life. Both he and Kristin Stewart never read the books before doing the  movie. They had no idea what a huge following it had. I really want to see TRUEBLOOD when it comes out on DVD. I also loved FOREVER KNIGHT and MOONLIGHT. I was heartbroken when both those shows were cancelled. I alos loved SPIKE on Buffy the Vamoire Slayer. But I'm the same girl who had all the male vampires from the cast of the musical LESTAT kiss her on the neck inbetween GNR shows  at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

True Blood is an awesome show. I'm not looking forward to waiting until summer for the new season. My friends bought me The Sookie Stackhouse Books and i'm quite enjoying them although they differ from the show quite a bit.

Seeing her in 3-D is worth the price of admission alone!

Thanks for the recommendation. I rather enjoyed the movie. They really kept you guessing til the end. I was the only person in the theater. Last year when I went to France I wanted to go to the catacombs in Paris. My friends and I decided that I would be filled with so much light from visiting Lourdes that some evil spirit would latch onto me down there. Last year when I went to France I wanted to go to the catacombs in Paris. My friends and I decided that I would be filled with so much light from visiting Lourdes that some evil spirit would latch onto me down there. We visited some catacombs in Tunisia, they were quite spooky. We had a little kitten show us around. The wierd thing was, where all the bones were, the kitten wouldn't enter.

Supernatural is great, I've seen all episodes and am fully up to date on Season 4.

The Wrestler - Strange film. Depressing, but watchable.

Slumdog Millionaire - Great film. Well worth an oscar

Defiance - An amazing story, but the film went on slightly too long.

Bride Wars - Got dragged to this one. It was ok, one for the girls I think.

I'm not quite sure about what happens to him after the movie ends. . I hope Mickey wins the Oscar! 80's music was so awesome! And SUPERNATURAL is AWESOME. I could spend hours though, trying to decide who is the cutest, Sam or Dean. They both get 10's on the AXL scale. SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE was fabulous. I have no desire to see BRIDE WARS even though I am a huge Kate Hudson fan, I'm just not the type of girl who dreams of a big fantasy wedding.

You should go to Hong Kong for Hello Kitty. There are loads of market stalls and shops selling Hello Kitty items at good prices. The tourist market on the south of the main island is the best.

When I was MUCH much younger, my parents made a few trips to Tokyo because my Dad worked for JVC.  It was around the time Hello Kitty was 1st popular.  My Mom brought me back Hello Kitty everything and I was in HEAVEN.   I wish now that I had saved some of that stuff for the revival!

On topic I watched W. last night and had to seriously refrain from throwing my snacks at my screen.  Don't have a clue why I punished myself this way.

I heard The Reader was a bit of a snooze.  I did see Revolutionary Road and man it was terribly depressing.  At the end I pretty much had lost my faith in humanity and relations.  A lot of the nominations this year are kind of a downer-even Slumdog, which is awesome, has a fairly sad premise behind it.

Frost/Nixon - Great film/story, could have been slightly shorter. Slumdog still my fave for the Oscar.
