TWILIGHT for the 10th time. It only took 10 viewings  to notice that the author Stephanie Meyer had a cameo in the film.

I LOVE that movie. I love it so much. WHere is her cameo

its during the 2nd time that bella and her dad are at the diner. Stephanie gets pancakes or something and she is using her laptop

Who ARE you?  Huh

I really can't see what's so great about that Twilight movie! I've only seen parts of it on tv, and it looks like teenage angst / fluff mostly. Tell me that's not the case and MAYBE I'll go see it. How would you compare it to, say, Interview With The Vampire?

Stephanie actually orders a veggie plate. I didn't totally fall in love with the movie until I read Stephenie's rough draft of MIDNIGHT SUN which is TWILIGHT from Edward's perspective. Once you know what is going on in Edward's head the movie takes on a whole new meaning. Rob's performance was Oscar worthy IMO. Interview with the Vampire was much darker.

Wall-E: The first forty minutes of the movie are virtually silent, which was really starting to test my patience, but once Wall-E leaves Earth, I started to really enjoy the movie. For a G-rated family film, it's suprisingly heavy, basically saying we're a bunch of lazy fatasses destroying the planet while also relying too much on technology. Beautiful animation, Wall-E's hilarious. Great film; very cute, but also makes you think.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Not the masterpiece some make it out to be, but it is a great film--- definitely one of the best of 2008. The special effects are extraordinary and so are the performances (I never realized Cate Blanchett was so hot!). It's three hours long but it doesn't feel like it. A lot of people compare it to Forrest Gump, and rightfully so--- it's written by the same dude and both movies share a lot of the same themes. However, Benjamin Button didn't strike that same emotional chord with me as Gump did.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D: Without 3-D this would've been unwatchable. The plot is generic and predictable, and the characters are some of the stupidest to ever grace the screen. However, being in 3-D, it's actually kind of fun. Pickaxes fly at you, along with dismembered limbs, eyeballs, explosions, bullets, etc. Plus there's a 10-minute scene where this hot blond chick is being chased by the killer while wearing nothing but a pair of heels. Seeing her in 3-D is worth the price of admission alone!  Grin

Still to see BB. Wall-E is great though.

My Bloody Valentine was ok, 3D. It didn't use the 3D as much as I thought it would. It was still ok though as a film. I'm a fan of Supernatural so I knew what to expect from 'Dean'.

I am a huge fan of Supernatural. Is Dean in the movie?

I am so with you on this.  I actually heard the books were just as bad as the movie.   Everyone of my friends that went to see it because they were seriously interested came out laughing.  It's for emo teens.

I don't think "Interview With the Vampire" was done properly either.  I don't think anyone can truly capture Rice's vision when writing those books.

I respectfully disagree. TWILIGHT is for romantics. A movie like that does not make $300 million worldwide unless it truly touches people. Interview with the Vampire was not as good as the book, but Brad Pitt did a fine job as Louis.

I am a romantic, but in a dark and a twisted way. Tongue I'm still contemplating whether I wanna see it... Maybe it's not dark enough for me. I might come out laughing like Bandita said!  Lips Sealed

If you like TITANIC you will like TWILIGHT. You would really like the new Masterpiece Classic version of WUTHERING HEIGHTS. It is dark, twisted and romantic. I like TWILIGHT because deep down i am still a teenage girl. I also love GOSSIP GIRL!

I totally know what you mean. I'm 24, I've got a job. I'm a teacher. I have people relying on me to help them get good grades, I have responsibilities, etc. But I only FEEL about 15/16. It's weird. Thats why I love stuff like Twilight. I'm just a big kid at heart.

Defiance (2008) - Starring Daniel Craig. Went to the movies and saw this yesterday and I thought it was a very enjoyable film. Would be a great History lesson for a lot of people in America and I think every teenager in high school should watch this movie.

Funny Games (2007) - Starring Naomi Watts and Tim Roth. Psychological thriller about two men who take a family hostage in their vacation home. I already new the ending to the film before I watched it(big thanks to the assholes on NPR), so there wasn't much of a surprise.
