Slumdog Millionaire--- Definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year. It's also one one of the most original, unique movies I've seen. Great movie . . . (Although wtf is up with the choreographed dance scene during the credits? That shit belongs in comedies, not movies like this.)

Lord of War...with Nicolas Cage.  So-so.  Tom Brady's ex is one fine lookin' lady.  I think she's prettier than Giselle.  That said, she can't act.  Big picture, I couldn't personally connect with any of the characters.  The movie did a poor job in that sense.  Plus, Ethan Hawke's part was not only over-the-top, I just felt he was mis-cast.

Not the worst movie I've ever seen, but definitel below average.  Wink

I saw The House Bunny. Kind of a dumb flick, but a really good laugh especially when it's on a date.  smoking

I would recommend it to anyone who likes those stupid blondes, and like to laugh.

Why are so many people hating on Twilight?  I liked it.   Tongue

As someone else said, the book was better as is usually the case.

Of course, Twilight is more "romance" than anything...so maybe that's why some of the guys aren't liking it that much?

I hope that they make a movie for each book.  As long as they stay true to the novels and don't screw it up too badly.

I didn't hate Twilight, but some of those scenes were painful to watch. Kristen Stewart is not a good actress. It took all of her being to complete a single sentence.

I LOVE TWILIGHT! I have seen it 5 times. I just liked it the first time. As I read the novels, I fell so in love with Edward Cullen! Stephenie Meyer's rough draft of MIDNIGHT SUN a novel from Edward's perspective really makes you appreciate Edward's inner turmoil and actually enriched my enjoyment of the movie. I like Kristin as Bella. Bella is really shy and awkward. Robert Pattinson is such a great Edward! It makes me a liitle sad to see him though. He was born the same year that I met a little boy who I deeply loved who died from cancer in 1987. If Andrew had lived, he would have looked like RoberT Pattinson right now. And he would have been a rock star like Axl.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button:  All I can say is "WOW"  I was deeply moved by this movie and just mystified. A movie hasn't moved me in this way in a very long time if ever.

Last flick I paid for was Twilight. (preview screening, my God, the jailbait! I spent fifteen minutes standing in line and trying to out the pedo that would be in the crowd. There had to be at least one, ne?)

I enjoyed it, but I don't understand all the rage about the books etc...but you know it's getting to be something of a phenomenon when folks on the bus are getting into serious relationship-ruining arguments about it.    I haven't read the books (I didn't even know they existed, tbh) but if I did, would it totally ruin my understanding of the Edward/Bella love story as represented in the movie? ...and is there a thread about Twilight floating around somewhere?  maybe there should be, cuz I'm sure some people are sick of seeing it popping up everywhere.

I like it because Edward is reminiscent of other great literary characters like Edward Rochester, MR Darcy and Heathcliff. I think Edward continues on the tradition of the Byronic hero. I did read an article comparing TWILIGHT addiction to a drug addiction. It must release dopamine in the brain. You have seriously heard relationship ending arguments on the bus?Reading the books would only enhance your understanding of the Edward/Bella relationship. I am going to read them again. And I think Axl's masterpiece THIS I LOVE could be Edward Cullen's theme song!

The Wrestler   Excellent movie, great story, great acting, everything was perfect. Really showed the behind the scenes of the broken down wrestler and what happens once the TV cameras are off and their star falls.
