The Incredible Hulk. - Alot better than the last one with Eric Bana, but not great. Probably shouldnt have come out so close to Iron Man, big shoes to follow.

Wow, just saw the Happening and I must say..........M. Night Shymalan gets worse with every movie.  I want the two fucking hours of my life back that this crapfest wasted.  There's nothing deep in that movie, other than shit.

And I thought The Village couldn't be topped.

I just saw Happening too, fucking blows.  Now, there was some good acting.  And there was a good love story there, but what the fuck.  where was the theme???  Did I miss something.  It was so anticlimatic.  I guess when they walked out cause they loved each other, that was cool, but too many holes.  Not enough anwers.

Bounce with Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow.  tv movie.  Is Affleck not one of the worst actors ever?  Paltrow's cute but oh my she has the worst chest I've ever seen.  Now, before I get my head chewed off by the ladies out there, it isn't the size.  I can't put it into words, they are just horrendous.  For some reason they are lower on her torso than regular breasts.  Oh well.  The movie itself?  Fun to make fun of.   Smiley

Yes, which shows how good Kevin Smith is for making him watchable in at least 2 films.

Hulk.   Much better than the last attempt, but little more than a CGI-filled action movie.   What was great about it was to see how cohesive the Marvel films are becoming, and how much it feels like they're all happening in the same universe (the Stark/Downey Jr. cameo, etc.).   In my opinion, it can't compare to the cast, plot, or fun of Iron Man.

If action is your thing, you'll be entertained at the least.  Given that characterization really takes a back seat, some scenes are simply too much CGI for too long, and that The Abomination looks like he was taken from a Resident Evil game rather than the comic books, I was disappointed nonetheless.

CGI in Ironman was terrific but some movies it just blows. The Hulk to me looks too CGI which is why I am hesitating on seeing it.

May I recommend they use CGI appropriately and do something about Gwyneth Paltrow's rack?  hihi  CGI might also help Ben Affleck emote.  Just my 2 cents.  Grin

Thats because it IS cgi.  The movie would be impossible without it.  You couldnt make Hulk look more real than they did,  but since your brain knows its not real, you automatically say" It looks like cgi" The Hulk is a digital painting. A painting can only look so real.  And until they can really use gamma radiation to make a "real" Hulk to film, they are going to keep relying on cg. I dont understand what peoples hang-up is.  Would you prefer a slow moving stop motion puppet with matte lines? A man in a suit?  CGI frees up the film-maker to do anything he wants with a giant monster.  Thats a good thing.

the best movies are the ones that use CGI but u cant tell it overwhelmingly.

Transformers sucked to me because the robots were TOO BIG and they couldnt fight. With Hulk, I liked the original TV series where u had Lou Ferrigno.

The CGI Hulk is just ridiculously too big.

The final fight scene in The Hulk seems to go on for what seems like an easy 15 minutes.  The characters are CGI, the backgrounds are primarily CGI, etc. When all you see is CGI for an extended period of time in a film that also has real actors and locations throughout, it just stands out to me, and detracts from the rest of the film.  Yes, I appreciate the benefits of CGI, and I both admire and appreciate what can be accomplished with it, but in some cases it actually damages my suspension of disbelief rather than encourages it.  For me, The Hulk was one such movie.    beer

Watched The Incredible Hulk today. I liked it. Thought it was what it needed to be. Action-packed with decent acting and good looking effects. I was laughing pretty hard when the hulk said, " HULK SMASH!"...it was a cool moment though and great final 15 minutes of a good film.

I loved the cameo at the end and I really do hope that an Avengers flick gets made. Cuz it could be pretty cool. smoking

A character can be created with CGI that blends in well with the rest of the cast though, even though you know its not real. For me it still hasn't been done better than:

.......and I'm sure Ben Affleck is CGI. No human can be that bad.

I agree with you about Gollum. For a CGI-created character, he did look very real. I thought Peter Jackson did a good job with King Kong, too. I bet Liv Tyler was just having to act in front of a green screen, pretending that the Hulk was in front of her, whereas with Jackson's films, an actual actor would play the part of the CGI character to help make everything more believable and life-like.

Supposedly, Edward Norton may not even do another Hulk movie, which will kinda ruin the studio's continuity plan for the 2011 Avengers movie. Before the release of the movie, Norton and the studio got into a big argument about the cut of the movie they were going to release in theaters. Norton wanted a longer, more character-driven story. The studios wanted a dumbed down, CGI action fest. The studio won, of course. I think Norton's cut of the movie would've been much better.

thank u!!! couldnt have said it better.

just saw the Incredible Hulk and it rocked, this and Iron Man are the only movies i've seen this summer that actually delivered, i was dissapointed by:

Harold and Kumar 2 (it was okay)
Forgetting Sarah Marshall (it was okay)
Don't Mess With The Zohan (i liked chuck and larry but this movie was atrocious)
Indy 4 (HUGE dissapointment)
