Aye, Ironman... I hate! that I don't get round to seeing movies at the cinema more often these days. Well... I don't hate it that much. A lot of it is shite. But still. The thing is, I work at a cinema!, I have done for the last year. Fair enough it's only part time, but the thing is, free films or not, I don't always want to go to the place that I work when I'm not working...

Because of that damn complex I've missed a fair few that I've wanted to see. To be fair though, I could have seen Ironman the day before release, when we got it in, seeing as I was at the place already. But I had far too much work to do...

I don't have time to see it this week, but I'm making it my resolution to see more films!, starting with Ironman next week and then, a couple of weeks later, Indie!

Last film I saw, eh, err, no idea. I've just cracked on LOTR's though. Fellowship, that be. Aye...

Cloverfield--I liked it because it was different(except for Blair Witch), but the ending wasn't very good. Still a good movie.

Mr. Woodcock--Very funny. Should have gotten more press. I really liked it.

I wouldn't say that, but it is still watchable.

Iron Man was also the last film that I saw. In my opinion the Spider Man movies were garbage. The first one was pretty good and the only one I cared for too much but its reputation as a good film also maximized due to post-9/11 release. The second one broke pretty much every rule ever set up by superheros, and the third one was supposed to deal with corruption, evil, etc., but never got that dark and there wasn't a price to be paid. Not to mention it was way overloaded with characters and the plot lacked direction (Sandman was basically Doc Oc all over again, sympathetic yet evil villain) so I tend to agree with the "best Marvel comic book movie" statement.

X-Men 2 was great but nothing touches Batman Begins though and I'm sure Dark Knight will significantly up the ante.

P.S. People need to realize these movies are set in the Marvel universe. A universe like ours but different.

Saw Iron Man last night, going in with no expectations whatsoever, and I walked out very impressed. I agree, best Marvel movie made so far. Up there with the X-men films.

Are you guys all like 15 years old? Or was it a really good movie?

Really?  I didn't mean to offend  peace

I'm 36, with small kids, and they love all of the Superhero stuff. I can't sit through any of them. I liked Batman Begins, but it's not something I would go out of my way to watch again or anything.

Who said we would go out of our way to see it again? We went to the movies and saw it.

I typically hate Super Hero movies and I liked it. Robert Downey Jr. knows how when to be funny/when to be serious, the beginning is real gritty, and he's not like the perfect super hero (he makes mistakes, has to learn how to use his suit) etc.

Didn't say that at all. I was speaking for myself. Unless the kids ask me, I'm not going to the movies to see a Superhero. That's all I meant

Opinions make the world go round, and I would never want to take your opinion away from you.

I would say though that people should see this in a cinema as opposed to DVD. It is a big screen film

I grew up on comic books, so it's like a trip to my childhood seeing these movies. If that's not your thing, then maybe you wouldn't enjoy it.

Iron Man may not win any Oscars, but as a superhero movie, it was done pretty well.
