3:10 to Yuma--pretty good. Really liked the ending, and.....spoiler................he did get him on the train, if only for a few seconds.

the ending was sad, and as I recall he stayed on the train..but it's been a couple of months so I could be mistaken.

It was pretty much open, because he whistled for his horse which ran alongside the train, leading us to believe he was getting off.

Oh......spoiler, don't read that.

A bit of a Kevin Smith debate..........am I the only one who thinks he is waaaaay overrated?  I enjoyed the original Clerks a bit, it had some excellent banter in it, not a bad little independant film.  Despised Mallrats, Chasing Amy (which I think is his best work) was okay, Dogma was so/so even though it did shine in moments.  The rest of the crap he's come up with was putrid such as Jay and Silent Bob strike back and the ever boring Jersey Girl (even if it did have the kickass Sweeney Todd kickback in it).  I haven't luckily been able to catch Clerks 2 yet due to not giving a shit about it.  But really, Kevin Smith has done nothing to impress me.

i havent seen jersey girl. i love everything else kevin smith has done.  i have to say i think his best and most "complete" movie is Chasing Amy. i think its his masterpiece.  the rest are excellent tho, my other faves would be Dogma, and Clerks II. JSBSB had its moments and was pretty solid too IMO.

i guess the best way to put it is that most of smith's other flicks seemed like vehicles for his witty and hilarious dialogue, while chasing amy had that but also had a message and confronted some deeper issues. Dogma is like that too.

I detest Chasing Amy - I hear you on trying to confront issues - but that movie was painful to sit through - I even tried again recently and hated it more

Dogma was brillilantly done

I actually think Clerks 2 is way better than Clerks.

The movie just flows alot better, and has more replay value than Clerks.

The Quite (2005) - Decent film with a twist starring Edie Falco, Elisha Cuthbert, and Camilla Belle.

Run Fat Boy Run: really really dissapointing. no where near the level of Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz. simon pegg is good as usual but its full of clliches and really nothing special.

Predator 2: decent action flick. i liked it.
