I didn't want to watch it at first, but my brother changed it to that channel... pretty cool stuff.

I saw bits of the bastard son of Northern Lights yesterday, and it looks as if it is indeed the pile of wank that's being suggested.

Sunday Bloody Sunday by John Schlesinger

It was a cold movie both in the figurative sense and meteorological sense.  It's about an unorthodox love triangle set in Britain.
I did not sympathize with the characters but there were some strange/great shots like the closeup of the telephone wires and the glass tubes with liquid.
All in all, a strange experience.

No Country for Old Men.

This movie is excellent, really enjoyed it. Awesome flick by the Coen brothers, with really interesting dialog.

Pulp Fiction.

Finally seen the whole thing, and it was fucking AMAZING. And I love CheapJon's new name, with the timing and all.

Haven (2004) - Pretty good film starring Orlando Bloom, Zoe Saldana, and Bill Paxton.

Mujer de mi hermano, La (2005) - Enjoyable film starring B?rbara Mori. Typical story though about a marriage that has lost its passion and leads to cheating on each other.

Epic Movie (2007) - There were some funny parts but the film was pretty average. Although it is worth watching just to see Jayma Mays.

The Golden Compass with my daughter

Pretty good.? Anti-religion, which is always very interesting.? Unfortunately, I think the subject matter being discussed was often over my 8 yr old's head.? I understood it though.? From a story standpoint, I was very much intrigued.? The idea of souls being separated from humans in the form of daemons for each person made my daughter's imagination light RIGHT up hihi  I also found myself explaining the idea of different dimentions to her after the movie.  Try explaining metaphysical ideas in language an 8 yr old will understand, it's not easy! hihi

It's very obvious that there will be sequel...or at least there's an intention for a sequel.? I hate when movies end like that? rant

I believe it's actually intended to be a trilogy.

I think that both sequels have already been green-lit. LittleFly, you should try reading the books. If you enjoyed the themes that you mentioned, which from what I've heard are massively stripped down in the movie from what was in the book, then you'll love 'em.

The books are a lot better..

Just, in general.

Did you watch it with other people?

Laughing is contagious, and if you watch a comedy by yourself it can't always live up to the hype of the people who tell you how "hilarious" it was.  On the other hand... one person with a different sense of humour could ruin it for you.  Comedies are a pain in the ass like that... Undecided

You beat me to it!, that was going to be my reply to your post. Until I read that bit. I can't watch Curb with my girlfriend, she destroys the atmosphere. Though she has been getting better recently.

I was going to see it with my buddy but he never came so i watched it alone.. and yeah i know what you're talking about seeing stuff with different sense of humor, it's kinda the same as watching a deep drama or something with someone who don't "think very much" ( hihi) that sometimes makes me think "he/she doesn't understand it and how great this is" and shit like that rofl
