saw Broken Flowers a couple of nights ago - really liked it.? Bill murray is fantastic.? if you're a lost in translation fan - go see it!? If not - then it probably wont be your cup of tea.
Lost in Translation was great, Bill Murray is a fantastic actor so i will be seeing Broken Flowers as soon as...

Regarding Saw, i think it's pretty creative which is a curse for Saw II, perhaps will be predictable. Anyone planning on seeing it?
Definately.  Saw rocks!, the sequel will probably suck but you never know....

Last Film I Saw.....From Dusk Till Dawn, another favourite of mine and also a rariety....a decent George Clooney film yes

Yeah, that's one of the very few movies that I actually liked George Clooney in.  He's got some good lines in that one.  "Ok vampire killers, let's kill some fucking vampires."

"No thanks, I've already had a wife"

Yeah he is damn good in it, it's also Tarantino's best acting, good to see Cheech Marin in 3 roles as well, plus a titty bar and vampires....can't go wrong with that combination.  Best way to introduce that film to somebody who has never seen it is to tell them it's a good movie but don't tell em what it's about....half-way through they'll get a shock....it's great how they build the characters first and don't rush into it, the film is really underated as it never gets the recognition it deserves.  I've heard numerous reviews slating it for jumping into a vampire film half-way through.....damn critics...although it would of made an equally good movie without them.  Interesting facts about the movie: Originally they wanted Tim Roth, Steve Buscemi, John Travolta, Michael Madsen or Christopher Walken to play the role of Seth Gecko but they were all busy doing other things.  Also the first script had all The Fullers & The Geckos surviving but Tarantino did not think that was exciting enough...

Michaels Parks plays Texas Ranger Earl McGraw in the film, he also plays Earl McGraw in Kill Bill Vol.1.  He also has acting roles (as different characters) in From Dusk Till Dawn 3 & Kill Bill Vol.2.

Anybody seen From Dusk Till Dawn 2 or 3? Anyone like 'em

IMO although From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money has a decent cast including Robert Patrick, Danny Trejo (the only actor in all 3) & a Bruce Campbell cameo, due to an awful plot the film damn well sucks after seeing that i expected the third, with a less known cast to suck even more...

...I found though From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter w/ Michael Parks to be a damn good film.  It had a cool western vibe early on, an excellent performance from Parks, told the story of how Salma Hayek's character in the first came to the Titty Twister and had plenty of cool scenes, a good story and action, not in league with the first but a massive improvement....

...It's been 5 years now though so i don't expect a 4th no

I need to get into some movies I havent watched before.

I havent watched Escape From New York

whats it about?

It sounds very interesting.

I tried watching Casablanca but for whatever reasons I just couldnt really get into it.

Aye, I'm not a huge Casablanca fan. Only seen it once though. Fantastic film, but as best films of all time go, I'm not too keen on it.

Escape from New York is brilliant.

Watch it if you can, but...

Well, be warned. Depending on what you're expecting, you might go  Undecided

It's set in 1997 (ahem...), when soceity was declined so much, and crime has risen ridiculousy, that New York is turned into a prison for all criminals. Terrorists crash Air Force 1 and the president (Carpenters favourite, Donald Pleasence!!) into the heart of it. Snake Plisken has to go in a rescue him, in return for being let of the sentance he is about to serve. Kurt Russel, who plays the former, is great. Such an iconic character.

It's a very, very low budget film for what is, I guess, an action film. But it's so good you should be able to ignore all that. Nothing is too cheap, not at all in fact. The commentary is a good listen to, and pretty funny.

But if you like They Live, then this is one of Carpenters better efforts.? ok

So check it out.

Ahhh Escape From New York is great, i seem to be one of the few who likes the sequel Escape From L.A..

Secret Window, great Johnny Depp film with a twist many people claim to of seen coming, i didn't have a goddamn clue.

No Good Deed, shoddy Samuel L. Jackson film....so much talent wasted.

Doom? was pretty crappy.

Seriously? I had low expectations for the Rock's acting abilities but thought the movie would kick total ass.

I love both Escape From New York and Escape From L.A. ?Both cool movies that don't take themselves too seriously. ?Best scene from either movie is in L.A when Pliskin has to play basketball to save his life. ?That whole court buzzer-beater was amazing. ? hihi

Not the guy on the floor. But the patient on the hospital bed. (Same person, but that's when u realize... 'Fighting a terminal illness crap' and "He's got a name u know, whatever').

It's okay to be slow, D.  hihi

The Thin Red Line (1998)

I always enjoy this film. Just a real good movie to me.

Elizabethtown.  It was enjoyable, nothing too outstanding.  But I could stare at Orlando Bloom doing nothing for 2 hours and still be happy.
