I watched Public Enemies. Kind of felt I was watching a sequel for a movie I never saw. Felt like it was missing something. Decent flick though. Never have been a big Mann fan. Find most of his movies unentertaining or mediocre. Absolutely hate collateral. What a shit film. Heat was good though. smoking

BLOOD THE LAST VAMPIRE. Strange but good little flick with a half human/half vampire Japanese girl battling demons with martial arts. It was beautiful and violent at the same time.

'Two Lovers' - Wasn't sure how to interpret the ending, but it was a very good movie.

I think those are all pretty good movies, especially The Last Samurai.

Year One - Watchable, but not a good film overall.

Harry Potter 6 - None of the Harry Potter films have impressed me that much. This one, like the others, was ok. Only see this film though if you have seen the other 5.

My Sister's Keeper - I really enjoyed this one. The subject matter was handled well, and the acting was spot on, especially the two younger actresses.

Ice Age 3 - Great Film, not quite as good as the previous 2.

Bruno - This was a very funny film. I think Borat though was a better movie.

Two terrific 80's films I'd never seen before: Wargames and Stand By Me.

Stand By Me is one my favorite movies.  I bought the DVD for $5, and made my son watch it.  He didn't want to because he thought if I liked it, it would be stupid.  He loved it, though!

You should check out Milk Money and The Sandlot. Both excellent "childhood" films in somewhat of a similar vein to Stand By Me.

Saw 'The Proposal'. It was better than expected. The scenes were very sequenced, but it worked well.

Looking forward though, I do think this Summer has not been great for movies.
