The plot was mediocre, but the fact that the movie was in 3D and you had axes coming at you was pretty cool

Wall-E: The first forty minutes of the movie are virtually silent, which was really starting to test my patience, but once Wall-E leaves Earth, I started to really enjoy the movie. For a G-rated family film, it's suprisingly heavy, basically saying we're a bunch of lazy fatasses destroying the planet while also relying too much on technology. Beautiful animation, Wall-E's hilarious. Great film; very cute, but also makes you think.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button: Not the masterpiece some make it out to be, but it is a great film--- definitely one of the best of 2008. The special effects are extraordinary and so are the performances (I never realized Cate Blanchett was so hot!). It's three hours long but it doesn't feel like it. A lot of people compare it to Forrest Gump, and rightfully so--- it's written by the same dude and both movies share a lot of the same themes. However, Benjamin Button didn't strike that same emotional chord with me as Gump did.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D: Without 3-D this would've been unwatchable. The plot is generic and predictable, and the characters are some of the stupidest to ever grace the screen. However, being in 3-D, it's actually kind of fun. Pickaxes fly at you, along with dismembered limbs, eyeballs, explosions, bullets, etc. Plus there's a 10-minute scene where this hot blond chick is being chased by the killer while wearing nothing but a pair of heels. Seeing her in 3-D is worth the price of admission alone!

I finally saw Sex And The City the movie, and I thought it sucked.  I'm such a fan of the series, but the movie just really annoyed me. I was ready to shut the tv by the time they got to the "let's take pictures of different wedding gowns" part (and the let's have a fashion show at my place" part)! A total waste of time.

WTF, I wanted to see some action and witty jokes about you-know-what! Samantha was kinda cool though.

Saw Valkyrie today, and even though pretty much everyone knows how it's going to end, it was pretty good. There were some twats who kept talking through it but unfortunatley I left the revolver at home.....

My Bloody Valentine was ok, 3D. It didn't use the 3D as much as I thought it would. It was still ok though as a film. I'm a fan of Supernatural so I knew what to expect from 'Dean'.

Saw a few flicks over the last couple weeks...

Saw V----Saw the unrated (no pun intended) so I dont know how the rated one is but besides the opening kill scene kinda lame. I like my gore and there was decent stuff but it falls short. I like the first one alot and Saw IV is still the best sequal of the bunch, overall quality anyway..for a horror movie.

Madagascar 2....why the fuck have they not made a full movie with just the Penguins???!!! funniest parts of both movies involve the Penguins. Hilarious...overall it was ok but those penguins are hilarious.   

My Bloody Valentine 3-D---The 3-d effect was kool. I like slasher flicks but I thought there shoulda been more gore. And I agree with mysteron..thought they would use the 3-d effect more.

Frost/Nixon---Great Flick. One of the best of the year. The guy who plays frost..always forget his name..should of got a acting nom too. He was great. So was Oliver Platt..nice too see him in something good again. Good talent he is.

The Wrestler...for the second time----I still love this movie. Mickey better win the best acting nod. This is the best picture I saw last year. Hell, its one of the best movies I have ever seen. Loved it.
