We're checking out Thank You for Smoking tonight...any thoughts on it without spoilers?   peace

That's a pretty good film. Aaron Eckhart impressed me so much in the Dark Knight that I had to check it out.

Recently I've seen Yes Man, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and The Breakfast Club.

The Unborn. Pooooo. The main girl's acting was horrible.

Has anybody here seen REVOLUTIONARY ROAD? I'm afraid it will give me an even greater fear of committment than I already have.

I did and it's depressing as hell.

I saw Bride Wars. it wasn't as bad as I thought. Not great, but watchable. There were a few funny moments. It was pretty predictable though

American Beauty was a great story.  Revolutionary Road is a downer from start to finish.

I had the good fortune to take a screenwriting course with the great BOb Mckee and he loved AMERICAN BEAUTY too. He said it described the great meaningless of American life. I didn't like it, because it reminded me of too many of my neighbors. I am such a fan of TITANIC that I don't want to destroy my image of Leo and kate in that movie, I can't bear to see them hate each other.

Doomsday (2008) - Starring Rhona Mitra. This was definitely the best film of the three I watched this week. Rhona looks super sexy in her black tight outfit!! The movie is pretty much one of your run of the mill futuristic films about trying to stop an infectious outbreak threatening the human race.

Sunshine (2007) - Starring Rose Byrne. Weird scifi thriller about a group of astronauts sent to re-ignite the sun 50 years into the future. I am confused as to what happened and how this film ended. I just know it got more and more off the wall the more I watched lol. I'll have to go back and watch the end of this film again and see if I can figure out what exactly happened lol.

Running the Sahara (2008) - Documentary film about three men who set out to run across the Sahara desert. It was okay but not as good as I hoped it would be. It just seemed to get silly towards the end of the film with all their "drama." Narrated by Matt Damon.
