same here, a lot of reviews i read said it was a cheesy remake, but i thought it was done really well. not cheesy at all. except for the whole mother-son relationship between nicole kidmans character and her son, Oliver. fucking lame.

I'm convinced no one should apologize for ANYTHING they do for the happiness of their children.
As for Chuck and Larry - you are wasting your time - it was awful. The few laughs are not enough to save the movie, but a 2 minute scene with Jessica Biel
in her panties , may be worth the entire movie.
See, I liked it.
The humor was mindless, offensive, and crude....the perfect movie to watch on a Friday night after a tough week at work.
I agree, though...it wasn't Sandlers best work. His awful accent was distracting at times. And the over the top humor/stereotypes got to be a bit much toward the end...especially if they really wanted people to buy into the scmaltzy (and forced) ending.
But I did laugh.
And you're right. Jessica Biel in her panties certainly made the movie more worthwhile.

Dude
I love Hannah Montana
one of the best shows on TV
Seriously.
Dude.
Why am I not surprised your Bon Jovi loving ass (and I mean that both literally and figurtively) thinks so.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist.
Honestly, I can't watch much of it...but I'm not a 5 - 12 year old girl, either. I can say that...there's a heck of a lot worse things on TV that she could want to watch. Frankly, Miley Cyrus is a better role model than many I could name so I don't complain at all that eldest daughter is so fixated. Not that it would matter much, if I did.

Nope, it sucked either way. At least IMHO.

I finally saw There Will Be Blood. Great movie; Daniel Day Lewis is beyond amazing.
I wish I was back graduating high school because there were some great yearbook quotes in that movie, like this one:
"One night, I'm gonna come inside your house, wherever you're sleeping, and I'm gonna cut your throat."

Joshua, on DVD: a film about nothing. Nothing happens. If that is your thing, rent this film.
Life in California (?), with Michael Douglas (forget the name of the film). A charming movie that is light and non-challenging. Not a lot action but enjoyable and amusing.
Death Sentence: typical revenge film--kill everyone who fucked with my family. Good action, surprisingly good since this story line has been done at least 1 million times. Worth the $4 rental.

Yeah I was thinking that as well but I didn't want to judge it without seeing it all.

Finally saw Rambo. Incredibly violent and graphic. Didnt give a damn about any of the other characters, too many cliches. Still enjoyed the hell out of it though. I cant wait for the DVD so I can wake my neighbors in the middle of the night with the surround sound cranked up.

King of California, I just watched it too. Good little flick, I liked Michael Douglas in it. He does a great non angry loon, opposite what he did in Falling Down.

Recently I saw "Donnie Brasco" again, with Johnny Depp and Al Pacino, that's a classic movie. I really enjoyed it the first time I saw it and still do. I heard it was based on a true story and I ordered the original book off Amazon, which is based specifically on Donnie Brasco and his stories of going undercover with the Mafia rather than focusing the story on the specific relationship between Brasco and Lefty Ruggiero.
"Heat", with Mr Pacino and Robert De Niro, is the next film I'm going through.

i actually just saw it. i'm not sure either. that wound on his neck was pretty bad but he seemed okay enough to drive home. if he ends up getting medical attention then i guess he will live.
i thought Death Sentence was alright. i mean the plots been done a million times but for what it was it was okay. some well executed action scenes made it watchable and entertaining.
i also saw The Lost Boys. i liked it, but i was expecting alot better cuz i've heard so much about it.
