Tsotsi

I was reluctant to see it because the plot seemed cliched (troubled gangster boy finds baby in car he stole, but it turns his life around).

However, upon actually watching the movie, I was satisfied because the story-telling and the actors and the setting were enough to breathe life into it.

It was shot on location in S. Africa, but the grit and grime of the shanty towns looked right out of the Mexi-Cali border.  I guess there's a common link somewhere.

One of the dvd specials was a commentary by Gavin Hood, the director.  He said the book which the movie is based on, is much darker and more introspective, so I'm quite looking forward to reading it.

Curcuit- pretty great look into the underground world of drugs and lives of gay people , who live the curuit life.

I had a taste of it in my early 20s, wouldnt want to go back to that, cause it isnt me, but compelling film all the same.

I just watched Terminator 2: Judgement Day today which is one of my all-time favorites. ok

best action movie. period.

recently i've seen The Departed, which was fantastic.

i also finally got around to seeing Natural Born Killers, it was ok, i really dont know what to make of it. although i'd probably reccomend it for Robert Downey Jr.'s brilliant performance alone....

anyone see Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning yet? looks decent just wondering if its worth it.

i can't wait for Saw III!!

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. I thought it was the best one because it tells why they eat poeple and how they became that way. I just wish the movie was longer.

Last weekend i watched "Click" and "Carlito's Way".

Click was good, it had it's funny moments... some really sad moments, but it was just the typical Adam Sandler movie.
Carlito's Way was one of the best movies i've ever seen.  Cool
