I cannot wait to see what happens next season especially after what Shane did to Lem.

That was really f*cked the way Lem went. Next season is going to be like one giant circle where every time Vic gets close to finding the truth, Shane is going to steer him in the wrong direction to save his own ass

Yeah, that latest episode was some of the most emotive tv drama I've seen in a while. The ending was just so fucked up, I couldn't believe it! Still a long time before the show continues... crying

As for 24, the first season was alright but the rest of the series just doesn't hold my interest.

I'd rate The Shield over 24 personally...

But both shows are a little... sketchy.  They're enjoyable to watch, but really, they aren't that realistic.  Which is okay, the point of the shows is to entertain.

None of those shows come close to the genius that is Deadwood, or The Wire.  That's damn good writing.

Yup, completed the first full season but not on ABC's fall sched.  No other network has announced picking it up, and at least one of the main characters (the Sheriff) has another gig this fall, already.  So it doesn't look good.

We watched the full 1st season....and the end of Season one, with no season 2, sucks.  Huge cliffhanger....

Sounds all a bit bit Dungeons and Dragons Grin...................

... Maybe that was just over here...............................................................

I like them both, but The Shield is better. Vic Mackey rules...

I have to say, I'm a huge Shield fan since day one. It's my favorite show of all-time.

Someone recently tried to convince me that 24 was better. I was reluctant, but decided to give it a shot.

I've just finished season 3 of "24" , but I have to say that 24 does not touch the Shield. It's too damn goofy, un-realistic and it seems like the same thing over and over.

I like it, but nothing I've seen can touch the Shield

I agree! The Shield is my favorite show on TV!

I must disagree as they are very realistic

The Shield is my favorite show on TV followed very closely by Lost.

24 is just too damn James-Bond-goofy-unbelievable-stunt-spectacular for me.  Hope that makes sense.

It makes a whole lot of sense brother. It is exactly dead-on.  The Shield feels ....real. 24 feels like fantasy, which is good, but after a few season's worth it starts to wear on you. Plus the cops that I know that watch the Shield say it's more realistic than NYPD Blue as far as cop shows go.

It can be, yet the final hour plus of the season finale was all character driven, no action. The whole final episode was based on the strength of the actors.
