I have to say, I'm a huge Shield fan since day one. It's my favorite show of all-time.

Someone recently tried to convince me that 24 was better. I was reluctant, but decided to give it a shot.

I've just finished season 3 of "24" , but I have to say that 24 does not touch the Shield. It's too damn goofy, un-realistic and it seems like the same thing over and over.

I like it, but nothing I've seen can touch the Shield

I love The Shield.

24 seems like a good show too, but I've only seen few episodes of it.

No kidding?  I find the Shield very intense and realistic whereas 24 seems like one giant car chase to me. Different Strokes I suppose

I loved the Shield so much during the first two seasons, but after that it went to pure shit.  Totally ridiculous plotlines and such.  I haven't watched it in a while now.

That about sums it up.  ok
Its not that I didn't like the show, it just wasn't one of those shows that I couldn't wait for the next episode. Its not bad by any stretch of the imagination, and for a non-pay channel it pushes the boundaries pretty well, from what I saw and mostly heard.

The Shield.

24 was great the first season because it was something new.

Great point Jarmo.

Watching Jack Bauer season after season chasing a bad guy and trying to save the world to finally saving the day, to right into another emergency for next the season to do it all over again just became to ridiculous.

I'd go with The Shield also.

I really like 24, it just keeps coming and coming, and the suspense is so great. Some parts you may be able to predict, but then others just absolutely blow your mind.

Poor Invasion...it is no more. Sad

I'll take 24, too.  I watched the first season of the sheild, and liked it, but no where NEAR the level I like 24 (which flops back and forth in my "best show on tv" opinion with "Lost").

Invasion got cancelled? I watched the first five or so episodes. I thought that the show had real potential, even if it was a bit OC at times. One of the reasons that I stopped watching was the awful time that it was on over here; 8 on a Sunday, come on now, what the fuck........

I've never seen The Shield, but 24 rules........

I havent watched 24 but The Shield is in my all time top 3 favorite shows.

I cannot wait to see what happens next season especially after what Shane did to Lem.

WOWWWWWWWW!

FX makes the best shows in my opinion.

U cannot beat "The Shield","Rescue Me" and "Nip/Tuck"

These shows are amazing.

That was really f*cked the way Lem went. Next season is going to be like one giant circle where every time Vic gets close to finding the truth, Shane is going to steer him in the wrong direction to save his own ass

Yup, completed the first full season but not on ABC's fall sched.  No other network has announced picking it up, and at least one of the main characters (the Sheriff) has another gig this fall, already.  So it doesn't look good.

We watched the full 1st season....and the end of Season one, with no season 2, sucks.  Huge cliffhanger....
