The new James Bond Movie is coming out in November. Im really excited to see it. I think it could be a kick ass movie even tho Brosnan was my favorite James Bond. I think Craig might do ok too. I hear its supposed to have alot flashbacks and history into why Bond is the way he is.
Any other 007 fans on the board? What do you all expect from the new movie?

I don't think that there are any flashbacks in the movie, though I guess there could be some.....
The movie comes right at the beggining of Bond's career, hence how you'll find out how he is the way he is.
Daniel Craig is going to have to be the best Bond ever to avoid any criticism though, seeing as there have been a lot of people jumping all over the casting since it was announced. I'll be there on opening day
..........
... Though, I say that about every film that comes out. I never make it to the cinema.

i think he has a lot to live up to...bond has been going downhill for the last decade...relying too much on an overabundance of gadgets and too many explosions and forgetting about character development (aka kick ass movie as you describe it)...unfortunately i think the new movie will be going the same way...the original Sean Connery movies were the best movies and fitted perfectly with the original books and how the character should be...yes he will have to be the best ever bond ...but thats not going to happen

I agree the original ones were the best.. the ones with Roger Moore make me puke... all the stupid shit they had.. and i think Roger Moore was the worst bond of them all.. Moonraker that time when he drives that boat that turns into a hovercraft in vience.. the scene where the Dog and the bird both do double takes at it.. as well as the guy pouring the tea on the other guys head.. that shit was sooooooooooooooooo stupid! its like Naked Gun.... I wish they would redo all the Original Ian Flemming books and do them some justice and not turn them into shit. Redo the ones they messed up. I thought Timothy Dalton was pretty lame too.. Sean connery and Brosnan were the best ones i thought... I absoluty hate Roger Moore the most tho...
I dont think Craig will be the best bond but the movie looks a little more dark from the poster and the trailer ... I hope they can turn the movies around. Yeah and no more stupid gadgets..
I dont know why they took the Tom Clancy series of Dr Ryan and actually made them good movies and took them somewhat seriously but they fucked up Ian Flemmings books..

Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing this one. Pierce Brosnan is my favorite Bond but I like what I've seen of the CR trailer so far.

I think Pierce was the best Bond aswell, I think this new geezer will do ok, he'll get slated no matter what though but bollocks to the press.
Q you surprise me that Connery is your fave Bond of all time
I never liked Connery, no matter what part he's in he has his thick Scottish accent, I like his accent but it sounds stupid when he's playing an Englishman (like in Bond) or a Roman Commander as I've seen him play aswell

Connery was great, Roger Moore was magnificent, Pierce Brosnan was close to perfction, but the producers finally realised that the prototype for a smart, elegant, successful, sexy, handsome man HAS to be a blond !!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL......
I read also that Bond wont be smoking in this film since they want to portray a cleaner lifestyle or some stupid shit.... Even Brosnon had cigars.... in the books Bond chain smoked... I liked the hard living, bad ass spy that Ian Flemming wrote... I hope they can get it right with this film....

Ive been a fan of Bond ever since i was about 6 yrs old...Connery was always the best...nationality isnt really important when youre 6 yrs old...
Bond, born in Germany and parents are a Scottish father and Swiss mother...Ian Fleming wrote the books, who just happens to be Scottish...and the books are based on Ian Fleming's own life...to me, that makes him Scottish not English...in fact Bond has no English heritage...if you were a fan you would know that...so those were helluva crap Scottish accents Moore Dalton and Brosnan had...
lack of accents doesnt make you a bad actor btw...as Connery's numerous awards have proven...and i think Brosnan is too refined...of course when you take all the gadgets and explosions out of Brosnan's films youre left with ummm nothing really

Daniel Craig doesn't look like a bond. He actually looks an evil gangster imo. Bond has been going down since "the world is not enough" came out. Best Bond Movie: Live and Let Die, Best Bond: Roger Moore

Besides Brosnan being my favorite, I enjoyed Connery and Moore too. Dalton? I scratch my head at that one, I wasn't really impressed or disappointed with his Bond films. The girls in Casino Royale look very hot. I think one of the hottest Bond girls ever is the blonde in "A View to a Kill."
One thing I don't understand is that P.Brosnan is only in his early 50's and they let R.Moore still play Bond when he was 57.

Connery was the definitive Bond. No one else can play the part as well. It simply can't be done. The movies today are made to sell cars, watches, sunglasses, and other cheap goods.

I agree with that. They aren't near as good now. After Roger Moore, IMO, Bond has been nothing special. I really hope this new movie is in the style of the old movies.

I didn't see Die Another Day so I can't tell you. I can watch the Bond films but i'm not a big fan of the franchise.? 'Goldfinger' and 'Goldeneye' are my two favourites and Connery is the best Bond for sure.? I think Daniel Craig looks perfect for the role so I will watch the new one, but it'll probably suck cause it doesn't have 'Gold' in the title.

One thing about the latest Bond movies, they don't create those cool villians anymore like Jaws or Oddjob and that other one played by Donald Pleasence that was the idea for Dr.Evil (Austin Powers), I think it's "Thunderball" he's in.
edit:
My mistake, it's actually "You only live twice"

The Bond films have always had a certain hit and miss quality - but they are almost always a damn fine way to waste a few hours
I cant wait for the new film, looks like it might really be something
The last few films had become a bit silly - they need to find a sensible middle ground again
...and to all those that moan about the explosions and cars and think
Casino
is some glorious new approach - they tried all this before with License to Kill - and everyone hated it
...not me mind, i adored both of Timothy Daltons films
Fav bond has to be Timothy Dalton - but all (except Lazenby) have been excellent
Personal favs
1.Goldeneye
2. Licence to kill
3. For your eyes only
4. The living daylights
5. Thunderball

Great - now he can do yet another song that sounds like everything else he's ever done
He has to be one of the worst vocalist alive - everything in the same drab tone, every song excactly the same - zero emotion, argh!
Mr Craig - how old does he look? Girls - do u actually find him attractive? If u do i wont feel so terrified about aging....
