Hey, I just finished watching this guitar solo from the Dublin concert:

I'm wondering, what's the song they're playing, if it's anything?  Also, I just want to clarify, is that Fortus on the left and Finck on the right?  I'm having a hell of a time learning the new guys.  Thanks.

I've never heard the Aguilera version, so I'm unbiased that way.  I just love how they play off each other on this solo.

never heard the original version either, but i thought that sounded awfull!

i wasn't there, but the youtube video on my cheap speakers is not fun to listen..  no

No shit.  I really like their version.  I'm a big fan of the bluesy solo guitar sound (a la yellow ledbetter, srv, jimi, etc.).  The Download version of KOHD has a similar style intro that I really liked, too.

Personally didn't like it really. Broke up the momentum that was gathering imo. But at least they're trying to do something different, and not doing something like Slash did (Voodoo Child, Godfather etc.).
Personally would like another GN'R song or instrumental of a song like Bumblefoot.
Even if like me its not your thing, the other 2hrs 20 mins of the show is stunning. Still value for money!

that was pretty awful. I think i prefer Aguilara's version, not that i am a CA fan or anything, she looks good though  Grin
