I'll second Rose in his question: how do you transfer audio from DVD to FLAC or an other audio format?

Buy a stand-alone CD recorder, with analog (RCA) inputs.   ok

If your computer has DVD capabilities, put  it in and use a free program called DVD audio extractor. Just google it. I've never used it, but I know people who have.  ok

Not that simple. Those extraction programs are all trials so there is a limited amount of audio you can extract per chapter. Unless you want to resort to ... pirate means.

Prisby - the audio on the DVD was compressed to a bitrate much like MP3, so basically the FLACs would be the same as the Mp3s... The only way to get lossless is to rip the audio from the DV Master or a DV Clone...

I use this program to rip the sound from dvd's and sound through the soundcard in my pc. I'm fully pleased with this program. You can save to mp3 or wave or org vorbis (never used it).

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

And it's completely free and easy to use... Grin

Or open any audio recording program and select "what u hear" in audio settings of sound recorder I think ( Creative audio cards) and you can play the dvd in your computer while recording the sound.

Sear for What U hear and you'll get the results you need off google

If you are using the standard Windows XP burner you should have the option of either burning the CD as an Audio CD or a Data CD. Burn it as an Audio.

Or, if youre using a program like iTunes it should convert the files automatically.
