Okay, I'll put in a vote for the Crowes Pub rather than Bruxelles only because, if you havent realized, im really anal about getting into arenas around gate time. that said, if the majority feel Bruxelles is a better choice, no biggie, i guess i can afford to be a little less anal-just looking for consensus here

I will go with the flow......i know all the boozers around dublin & i honestly think bruxelles /city centre will be best suited.

Plus .....you can also get your photo taken with phillo outside.

Im in Belfast...anyone know where I can buy tickets for Dublin date, ticketmaster isnt showing the concert anymore...presume this is due to their allocation being sold out rather than any cancellation?? For info also the rds is a big arena with a very wide stage area, you wont have to get in early to assure stage front.

Dave and I are gonna stay in Dublin City Centre. It'd be cool if we could all meet at a bar close to the arena, that way everyone can go as it wouldn't be out of the way for anyone.

Dave and I are gonna stay in Dublin City Centre. It'd be cool if we could all meet at a bar close to the arena, that way everyone can go as it wouldn't be out of the way for anyone.
I don't know the place but I'll start looking it up

I gather there are 2 options being kicked around:

1) Bruxelles at around 1130-Noon in City Centre, then people can take either the bus, train, etc. over to RDS

2) Meet around one of the pubs near RDS at around the same time (though they will be extremely crowded)

It seems the first option is still the one most feasible or liked. I will be staying in City Centre, so it wont be too difficult to walk a block to Bruxelles, hang out for an hour or two before heading out to RDS. If im mistaken and people are thinking of other options, please post em.

oh incidentally, i dont intend on getting smashed in any event, id actually like to remember the show clearly

I would prefer a pub near the RDS. My plane arrives at 10.05 in the morning. THen we first have to go to our B&B to drop our stuff. I don't know how much time this all will take (travelling from the airport to the city, go form the B&B to the pub). Anyway, I guess we can regonize eachother with the HTGTH shirts!

BTW, is anybody else from the Netherlands flying with Aer Lingus? Maybe we have the same flight! The flight leaves at 9.30 from Schiphol.

good point...since alot of people are taking flights in the day of the show, they might want to just head over to the venue area.

i guess it's time for people to post what their plans are specifically so we can hammer this out for sure over the next few weeks.

as i said earlier, i will be in City Centre (im arriving the 8th), and could make it to Bruxelles. I'd like to be at RDS and inside the gate no later than 4.00.

sounds ok to me-my hope is just to have as many people meet as possible before the show starts. whatver gets that accomplished is cool.

how about an early meeting at bruxelles say around 12 noon then a meeting at one of the pubs listed above in nicks reply at around 3 pm.that way poeple can meet up in bruxelles then head over to the rds and meet poeple who couldnt make it to bruxelles.

1.. meet up at bruxelles at around 12 noon-1pm

2.. head over to (lets use for example coz i know this one is outside the RDS) The Crow Pub and meet the poeple who couldnt make it to bruxelles at around 3pm so every body is at the crow for around 3.30-4.00pm

3.. everybody head over the road to the RDS at around gate time

this way everybodys happy.
