^ yeah, a bar closer to RDS is preferrable. I was thinking of using one of the logos your brother made for a t-shirt. dont know if i can fork over the money for an official HTGTH shirt, the trip has stretched the old budget

so can anyone who lives in or near dublin name a bar within 5 minutes of the arena so we dont have to worry about getting to the show afterwards

i dont live in or near dublin, never been to the rds before and will be heading straight in to the arena off the bus so im no help whatsoever, but i couldnt resist jumping in for that joke...

  lets just say i might need a hand to keep me stood up through the show  .no,im only kiddin.its just easier for us to get to the arena from somewhere close to it.that way we dont have to worry about getting a shuttle,taxi or bus to the show.

on topic: does anyone else have else have an ideas about a meeting place/time that is near RDS? Given its a major concert weekend, i have a feeling it will be crowded no matter where you go---i think it's more just an issue of not having to risk getting stuck in traffic on the bus or having to hike a good distance when the gate opens at 3:00.

it's kinda tough

on one hand, everywhere will be really packed as it's a huge concert weekend in the city, OTOH, I'd rather do whatever drinking im going to do before going into the arena ( i never buy booze at those prices).

i'm up for whatever, just really want to meet some of the fine folks from the board and get into the arena at a time where i can stake out a good spot.

45 days to go guys n gals  .

we really need to get a venue for the meeting sorted,i think most poeple realise that bruxelles is too far away and we need somwhere closer to the show.it doesnt matter if its packed coz we wont be there too long.just as long as we can all get in and have a chat  .lets have some ideas guys from dublin or those who know the place

^ yeah, i thought the issue was that from bruxelles to RDS  was too much of a hike, but that waiting for a bus might be problematic as well b/c of traffic, so we were looking for a new place. obviously, there are plenty of you who know this city way better than us other folk (Shoco, im thinking of you). any idea on what is the best way to procede so that we:

a) get to meet up and

b) get to the arena around gate time.

this place will be busy but it will be better for poeple to meet up closer to the venue and if we cant get in,im sure we could walk a little to find another pub.
