Axl, Duff, Matt & Slash all at Download (RUMOUR, TOPIC LOCKED)!

 About a month ago, I predicted a one show reunion at either Rio or Download. But I thought Gilby would be involved since he was in Europe in May. But since Izzy played with GNR in Ny, that pretty much rules out Gilby. You have Axl and Dizzy in GNR. Izzy could easily come and do one show. Duff is already in Europe. The only missing piece of the puzzle was Slash and Sorum. If VR is really there, then all the pieces are in place. Also, those Stones shows were the perfect opportunity for a reunion, but those have been cancelled.

I don't think a short reunion would hurt new GNR. They can just resume where they left off after the reunion is over.

Anyway.. If this is true, IF, then that's pretty cool. A reunion probably isn't going to happen, but it would be nice to see these guys play together again, and I don't think it would wreck the new GNR as fans would still be into them regardless.

I agree with most of your post. Forget the reunion for now. Remember the past and support the future, I say.

But about the suprise gig part, I wouldnt rule that out - things can be unpredictable with these boys.

It wouldn't be "shitting on the current guys" in the band, it's not like they would be back together it would be a one night thing and I see no harm in doing it. I would absolutly LOVE to see them play together again, even for just a few songs, but I wouldn't stop likeing this new GNR that we have.. Chinese Democracy is shaping up to be a damn good album and a quick reunion of sorts would do nothing but help and give us GNR fans a day to remember

Totally agree with you. I just hope Axl and his guys throw a hell of a performance. I keep my fingers crossed and i wish them the loudest crowd alive (For the sake of old Donnington times, at least  ) I wonder how Weiland would feel Slash will get emotional and he'll want to join Axl on stage. Also hope this doesnt evolve into a riot.

But then again, only if it happens.  And those above are only my personal...hopes and dreams. Damn, i have an exam to pass tomorrow and it will be chalenging to concentrate and study now that both bands will be there

Hi again. ?Had 2 hours kip, getting ready to get back out there. ?I SAW (along with several thousand fans) VR on stage last night. ?SAW them. ?I'd had a few I admit but fuck it, I know VR when I see them. ?I dont know if there will be a reunion on stage just for tonight but I hope so. ?I dont think it would kill the new band at all. ?Saw them at Hammersmith and they rocked.

That's your opinion. ?It's obvious that an original lineup show would definitely have more "money" value. ?That's not at debate. ?What I'm saying is........Axl is not going to do something like this in the middle of a tour, and also won't do it at outside the US. ?Something that big would get plenty of hype and media attention.
