He wasn't asking for the leaked demo or the live version of the song, he was asking our opinion on which version we prefer.

I like them both, but i'll always take a live song over a studio recorded one because there is more emotion in a live song and although it may not sound "perfect" it's much much better.. see what I did there? hihi

The leaked studio version is better then the version played live. Having heard the version played at Hungary the really cool guitar part towards the end (that is on the studio leak) simply isn't played live? -wonder why not?

The studio version is incredible, but Axl sounds like shit every time he tries to sing it live.

rofl ... Finck had some roadie, mic stand and sound problems in the beginning of that show... anger management. You can hear Ron playing the ending of Better (doesn't sound that good/out of tune? Tongue? as when Finck plays it, but it shows Ron is great talent and master of improvisation/quick learner)...

edit: just watched the video again (refreshing live memories)... uh, oh... it was a moment of... I have noticed Robin has slammed his guitar and left the stage and was like WTF? And now on video it is like Axl is a bit of confused like looking for Robin: "Did that bastard go stage diving again or he really left the stage?"... ahh those precious moments, but all cool

The guitar into to Better at Hammersmith blew my mind, it was super loud, it seemed to burrow into my brain!

I've been humming that fuckin' intro ever since crying

Some songs sound better live than studio. I think it's different for everyone. Nighttrain was not one of my favorite off of Appetite untill I heard them do it in concert now it's one of my favs. Better live sounds pretty good, but the vocals are not up to par with the leaked track. The guitars sound pretty solid though, especially the jam in the middle

I always thought that WTTJ, SCOM sounded great in the studio, not so great live.  RQ, Nightrain, PC I think sound better live then in the studio.  The new songs are 10x more lyrically complex then the old songs, so they are hard to pull off live sounding great, but the still sound good nontheless.

I love the way the part "Now I know you better..." sounds with backing vocals. I think that part sounds better than the demo.

I think it's awesome either way, I just wish the "hard part" was a bit heavier when they play it live. It comes off a we bit flat, IMO. That's about my only gripe with the live versions...

Axl can't sing the verses live unfortunately. He does a good job on the screaming in the middle but that's it. IRS and TWAT he can pull off live but Better he can't seem to do.

Dude that was probably the dumbest thing I've ever read.  He can't sing it live? Please offer some support as to why Axl is incapable of singing his song live..

I've heard him try and sing it live at the Hammerstein, in person,  and he couldn't do it. I've heard bootlegs of him trying to sing it live at other shows and he hasn't been able to do it.
