I don't know if any of you knew this little tidbit... but I was looking up something and it mentioned Axl doing the parts of vocals and rhythm guitar along side Slash doing lead & rhythm guitars on Shotgun Blues. So I guess this could mean that the rumours of Axl playing guitar on one or more of Chinese Democracy's songs isn't too fictitious.

The very beginning of Dead Horse is Axl.  I think he said he learned two cords or something like that, and that intro is what it turned out to be..

Matt Sorum said in 1998 that Axl picked up guitar a few years before that and he now plays like someone that has been playing for 10 years or something like that

Before all my posts about subjective matters there should be an IMO before the post. I took this sig down but of course it has to go back up.

Heres a video of Madagascar from RiR3. With three other guitarists playing its hard to make Axl out.

Im pretty sure he only played powerchords on those old songs. and he's not soloing on Madagascar, I don't even think he's plugged in, cos you don't hear any difference at all when he starts playing Grin but it looks like he's holding down powerchords on that one as well.

In RIR 3, all Axl did was play 3 single notes on the low E-string, hahaha,  rofl rofl, but at least he got up there.

His guitar didn't actually have any strings, he just wanted to look cool

Saw them during the Dust and Bones tour in 1993.  A portion of the concert was done in acoustic (they brought couches out and sat around and jamed).  Axl played guitar on Deadhorse and You Ain't the First during the show I saw.
