It blows. I used to like it just because it was GNR, but objectively, it's terrible. It is uninspired, and pointless.

I'm listening to TSI? right now. Silence from 2:08-2:22, so 14 seconds.

I really like a lot of the songs on that record; 'Ain't It Fun', 'Hair Of The Dog', 'Black Leather'. . .

There are a couple of listenable tracks on it.

But yeah, it sounds more like a fun collective jerk off for the band than an album.

I listen to it from time to time the originals are much better imo. TSI is not all that bad or good to me it just "is" I guess. Just like it says in the sleeve though if you like any song on there do yourself a favor and go get the originals.GNR does a fine job covering the songs hardly much difference on most the tracks except production quality but it lacks the rawness you find in the real versions.

There's some good songs on it, but it should have never been released as its own album. I've said this before, but I think it should have been released as a bonus disc to be sold with a UYI set. If you buy UYI as a set instead of seperate, you got the cover album as a bonus.

GnR is unstoppable, but delay-able ;)

« Reply #12 on: June 10, 2006, 05:30:40 PM »

they should have released it as their first album, before they were popular, just release it like live...like a suicide and then hit it big with AFD so that TSI would become a cult gnr album  yes

TSI is my least favorite of all the GNR albums, but I still think it kicks major ass. I don't listen to it as much as the others, mostly because I have to be in a certain mood. I tend to enjoy it best when I'm really pissed off. But yeah, I think TSI is still a good album, considering what it is: an album of punk covers. I'm not even a big punk fan and I enjoy it.
