saw the movie at a press screening in paris, very funny.

Borat is funny, but I don't think the character can carry a whole movie... The thing that works so well about Da Ali G Show is the contrast between Borat, Ali G & Bruno.  You get a small dose of each before the humour wears off.

The movie is 84 minutes long. And critics are already claiming it's one of the funniest films ever made. Go look it up on RottenTomatoes.com or IMDb.com.

the movie is pretty much very short tv skits one after another with a sorta story.

it is funny.
it is raunchy (naked wrestling scene with his fat producer is distrubing)

not something you watch several time tho.

Also online some actual clips from the film have snuck out, these are NOT deleted scenes like the previously seen clips, one of them is the entire opening sequence (on youtube) and another is an absolutely hilarious scene where he visits an antique dealer.

I have watched them a) because im very impatient and b) so at least there will be some points in the film where I can catch my breath, I heard one review on radio one the other day that said 'I was praying that the next scene wouldn't be funny because I was hurting so much from the previous one(s)'

Easily funniest show on TV-classic episode when a very gay Bruno asks a fire and brimstone religious man who run a "convert" center, or something like that, to help gay people turn straight-"How long have you been straight for?" answers " all my life", to which a stunned Bruno answers "what??" You have to see it to appreciate it

That whole interview is hilarious... it's easily the best of the Bruno character. "So what you are saying is that it is ok for me to admire a man in the shower, but once I put his penis in my mouth, some sort of line is being crossed?"

I couldnt stop laughing when he asked if 'being fabulous' was a sin.  And then he emphasizes it again with a flourish in the air. aaaahhhh 

THe best Ali G moment I've seen is when he accuses a Creationist of not flushing the toilet at the end of a Science & Techmology panel.

Yeah, that scene (which is actually in the film) is very different from the others in terms of the type of humour. Almost farcical like Manuel in fawlty towers yet still totally authentic, brilliant!!

borat is the funniest shit i`ve ever seen, seriously

hopefully some theaters are going to show the movie in english...  the german translation sucks in the trailer i saw. and the german version of ali g sucked as well... some jokes get lost and the voice is really, really bad.
