Avenged Sevenfold on Sirius talking about Axl & GNR

For what its worth...

The 2 guitarists from Avenged Sevenfold were on Octane on Sirius tonight and when asked to pick a song to play - they requested Estranged.  Then the DJ (El Covino) asked them about GNR and they talked about how AWESOME Axl was at the Hammerstein.  The DJ was pretty negative towards Axl and GNR saying that he had heard that the whole thing was a joke and Axl didn't have it anymore.  Both guys from Av7x practically tripped over each other rushing to his defense saying that he was 'back with a vengeance' and 'better than ever'.  They also talked about meeting him at the Korn party and how great of a guy he was.  They said he gets a bad rap from the media - no question.

Anyway - just cool to hear them talk so highly of GNR.......  I'm sure they'll re run it.

I'd say the majority of DJ's are total dicks to GnR. But then again, most DJ's are dicks.

I like Avenged Sevenfold. They have a style that reminds me of '88-'92 era rock and metal, I guess I'm refering to the guitar solos and riffs. Anyway, cool info.
