World Entertainment News Network is reporting that fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger's physical attack on GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose last week has been linked to the rocker's current girlfriend. The singer is currently dating Diane O'Connor — the ex-wife of Hilfiger's adopted brother, Michael — and both designers are furious with Rose, according to the New York Post's PageSix.com.

The pair were at The Plumm nightclub in New York City, where Rose played a surprise acoustic show, when they got into a heated argument which ended with Hilfiger allegedly hitting Rose. Rose told his side of the story on Friday morning during an interview with KROQ radio station in Los Angeles, explaining the fight started when he politely asked the designer to move his date's drink so it wouldn't get spilled. Hilfiger allegedly flew into rage, "smacking" the singer in the arm and cursing at him.

According to Plumm owner Noel Ashman, Hilfiger took two swings at Rose. He says, "Axl was a gentleman and had the good sense not to retaliate, as he would have done some serious damage to Hilfiger."

My dad came in laughing today from work and told my mom and I how he heard on the radio that "Axl Rose got beat up by Tommy Hilfiger". At that exact moment both of them laughed out loud hysterically. Although, he became silent when I told him the truth...You know, when even my dad hears of this shit I know that this stuff is spreadin' fast.

Although, it just baffles me how much the tabloids and radio DJs twist the story. How could get Axl beat up if there wasn't even a fight? Also...how the heck could they think that Hilfiger could do such a thing? Hilfiger's like the human embodiment of string cheese compared with Axl who can shred cheese on his abs these days.

Seriously....the media's just out there ta get Axl. This is a prime example of that. Hah, I wonder if he'll rant about it in the Madrid show.

To me it is obvious that Axl was being held back in those pictures,  My guess is that Tommy hit Axl and then backed off.  I mean nobody is even holding Tommy back.  He looks scared shitless.
