"Hard To Concentrate" to me is maybe the greatest Chili's song ever.

This song is amazing and makes  me shiver when I hear it.

yeah, very good song. Nice lyrics. Don't know if it's the best the've done though? I can think of a few songs that I like more over that one...but it's all personal preference and beeing able to 'relate' to it ofcourse.  Smiley

Well its new so of course I may overexaggerate a tad.

I personally dont have a favorite song. I like a lot equally.

Under The Bridge isnt in my top 10 though.

May I ask why? That is one of the most widely recognized songs of the peppers.

Anyways, I'm buying Stadium Arcadium tomorrow cause I get paid tomorrow. I'll probably give a review next week.

Its a great song dont get me wrong but there are so many great Pepper songs.

That is their signature song and I do love it, but people automatically assume its the greatest peppers song ever and I just dont feel it is.

over at the chili board people are complaining like GNR fans complain cause SA doesnt sound like BSSM.

Thats a great thing.

personally I find BSSM a little overrated as I think Californication,BTW and SA are far superior albums from top to bottom.

"Commerically successful."

Is Sweet Child your favourite Guns song? I know that it hella ain't mine.

Under the Bridge is a decent song, but only as a casual fan it wouldn't make my top... Five.

And, also commerically successful is what you must of meant. But, most chili peppers fan I talk to love Under The Bridge.

It's not the same thing with Sweet Child O' Mine where it was their only #1 single but now everybody hates it.

We live in different areas of the world. You should tell those chicks to go read a romance novel.

You what son? Hence my 'over here...'

I will, however, take your advice. Next time I see a chick with the audacity to go wild for a bit of the ol' sweet child on the dance floor, I will pleasantly remind her that any inclination towards romance-esq expression through that arts that she may be harbouring can be a damn sight more fulfilled by reading an Austen novel, some Bronte and a bit o' Byron. At that I will tip my hat and wish her "good day."

I applied for a job today. That's not true, but I did get an application form. I get one the other day, too. As soon as I get paid, if I ever get a job, I'll be sure to buy Stadium. In the meantime, I hardly feel that I will feel tempted to download it, chiefly because I seldom do. I can't afford Tool's new album right now, but there is no way I am going to download it. What a way to ruin the experience. I can wait. SA is at the top of my list though, really......... Well, if not the top, a close second.

All right, so it may not be a "close" second, there is a casm between ten thousand and SA, but still... Second is still second.

I love Under The Bridge dont get me wrong, but its not their greatest song in my opinion just like SCOM isnt GNR's greatest song or Livin on a Prayer isnt Bon Jovi's greatest song, Purple Rain isnt Prince's greatest song

but its a good way of seperating casual and hardcore fans.

If u meet someone who says "I Love Guns N Roses!!!!!" WTTJ or SCOM is my favorite song ever!!

that equals Casual fan

Same with my other references.

If u meet someone and they say Metallica is my fav band and Enter Sandman is my fav song, chances are they are full of shit and arent a true hardcore fan.

Hard To Concentrate was the song that stood out to me.... but I think that's because it was the first song I listened to... and it was on headphones.  I also like Desecration Smile, Hump De Bump, Slow Cheetah and Made You Feel Better.

I still have a ways to go, but these are the songs that I've let "sink in".  I'm not sure the album is the style that I would have preferred going in, but the songs are still really good.

I think this is another album I'll have to add to my "to buy" list. That along with Pearl Jam's newie.
And Tool's new album is getting pretty good reviews, so I might have to check that out too.

Man, you guys are sending me broke, I gotta stop coming to this section of the board! hihi

I'm very impressed with this album, the only RHCP cd I've ever bought was BSSM (Cali was on the radio enough so didn't have to buy it).  Thanks alot to you guys in this thread for the good reviews and recommendations  ok

I haven't got through the second disc yet but favorite so far is Snow.  Cool bass lines and awesome guitar on entire album!

Man the store I bought it had a sticker for $19 and it rang up as $12, couldn't hardly believe it, for a double-disk nonetheless.

First time through H2C doesn't really stand out for me but I think it's because I always like their songs where the instruments carry the song and in this song the vocals really do.

Stadium Arcadium is awesome!  I'm not sure if it eclipses my extreme like for Blood Sugar Sex Magik(which is probably the closest album to AFD in my ranking of things) but it is quite excellent.  All of the songs are good IMO, but someone of them are worse than others.  A few songs that stick out are "Torture Me" "Wet Sand"(which could very well be the next Under the Bridge) and many more.

And i'm seeing the Peppers later tonight!  Grin

Keep in mind something though dude.

U've listened to BSSM for 15 years, SA isnt even a week old.

Give it time.

I like it more than BSSM right now.
