Can you honestly say that this is what you think will be the final incarnation of guns n roses? Im not sure if this thread belongs here but its just a question to see what people think?

To me yes. I see nobody quit at this point.
I've followed the bans since early 90's, and I've never seen another GN'R line-up acting like a band, with communication onstage, and a great feeling.
Besides, this line-up is pretty much the same since 1999 right (except BH)
So it's some kind of record for GN'R
Definitly yes? This tour + CD's release + an upcoming US tour + Press everywhere make me feel that this GN'R is on for a looong time.
But then, it's GN'R so who knows

I'll never rule out that Axl and Slash will share the stage again. I know it's been said before but for example, david gilmour and Roger Waters fuid lasted how long 20 years? Either way it was a long time, yet last year they shared the stage together, even if it was just a one off.
I would be very upset if I thought this would was the final lineup for GnR, yeah I support the current band, but when the time sadyl comes in the future for Axl to hang up his boots and retire, I would rather he shared the stage with the people who started it all as a farewell.

I think the band can stay this way if they tour here n there then disapear for time then come back etc.. Side projects and shit like that.. I don't think you'll see continous years of these guys, be kind of tough for 8 guys to co exists always together

I hope this band is the last incarnation of GNR. I want to see them do what they want for however long they want. I don't want the old band back together. That's water under the bridge...

Impossible to say. ?On the one hand they seem to be getting along fine and could stay together more or less indefiantley. ?On the other, who knows how they'll handle the pressure when Chinese Democracy? ?Who knows what family commitments may suddenly spring up? ?A car crash at any moment may incapacitate one of the musicians...
OK, that's a little far, perhaps lol.
There's no way of telling.

I don't want the old band back, what they did in the past was amazing. if the old group got back together, would it work?... ?no. In today's music scene, rock needs a breath of fresh air, not a timewarp back to the 80's. We'll see/hear the results soon enough in the form of a little known compact disc called "Chinese Democracy"
Only then can we judge the staying power of this band. If the album suceeds, we will see the current line-up grow stronger and more confident in themselves as a "band". If the album fails, we could well see a re-incarnation of the group that once ruled the earth, "Axl's Last Stand" if you will. Only time will tell............

Im just waiting for the album and thats it. The 'band' dont really exist in my mind - these are guys Axl has hired to complete this vision of his. It seems this vision is finally coming and once Ive digested the album, I'll be abole to rationally assess what has happened
But GNR will always be GNR to me

GnR, to me, has always been more than the sum of its parts. It's about an idea bigger than the band members themselves - Axl aside, it doesn't matter quite so much to me who's in the band, as long as GnR continues to deliver rock, rebellion, attitude, and a hell-bent determination to beat the odds. These guys fit the bill, and I hope they're around for a long time.

Also Paul Huge left, but yeah, in the last four years there has been only one leaving. Its a pretty stable band.

Yeah, these setlists have really been a breath of fresh air. And what exactly makes the new songs a breath of fresh air? Its Illusion era stuff with the occasional annoying techno noise. New GN'R sounds a helluva lot to me like old GN'R. The only difference is its the wrong guys up on stage playing the songs. The music scene doesn't need a breath of fresh air. It needs Guns N' Roses to remind everyone why they were the greatest band of all-time.
