I was pretty much in the front of the crowd and I can tell you. Fans rocked when Tool was on the stage but when GnR came onto the stage the crowd exploded. I never got that much pushed as when Axl and Co. came up. Everybody was jumping, pushing, rocking and everyone was a gunner  peace

I absolutely agree. Plus, in between the songs of tool there was complete silence. At one point, my buddy yelled "LANGWEILIG!!!!" (which means boring). I guess like the first 20 rows must have heard this, everyone turned to my buddy, he looked in a lot of "I could kill you for that"-faces then. Grin

For the record, we're not tool haters, but the songs were sooooo long and not too good in our opinion, we were tired, we wanted to see gnfrs!!!

that's true
but i have to say that during tool i got crushed against the barrier way harder than during gnr,my chest is still hurting Wink
don't know if that's good or bad though Wink
but the vibe during guns was WAY better than during tool. i thought their show was rather boring...

Is he the singer of Tool? (sorry, don?t know his name ?Tongue) He said something at the end. Just a small mention. Don?t know the words. Just something like, "the next band is GnR" or something... ?
What Ol.li said about Tool is absolutely right. There were more fans thinking the same way. Too long, too boring,.. Wink
Between the Tool concert and GnR there was an interview taking place on the stage with some guy and the crowd screamed Guns N' Roses, Guns N' Roses, Guns N' Roses...
And when GnR came up,...you can?t describe this in words. ?Cool

How late was Axl this time?

Surely that dampens the enthusiasm somewhat?

The problem is each Tool song is 8 minutes long. They only play about 12 songs. It would be like seeing Coma length songs for two hours......I can't wait to see Tool when they come back to the States. Grin

How can someone who loves GNR be so impatient?
I wouldn't hate a song longer than 10 minutes.
My fav epic is some 20 mins long one by can. that was a german band of late 60s, I believe.

the crowd liked tool but it was nothing compared to gnr, believe me ok

also axl was running around and having fun all the time, while the tool singer just stood in the background...guess what the crowd liked better hihi

i`ll write a complete review of the show this evening. i just came back from rock am ring. i met lots of great people and gnr was THE SHIT!!

I like Tool but their songs are too long... 1 riff for 10 minutes is a bit too much for my taste... if thoses songs them drop to half...  drool   smoking
