No, he really did jam and record with them... The guys in VR thought it sounded just like Skid Row though so they decided to keep searching. Baz said that he still has the demos...

woah slow down.

bach is all about himself and axl isnt?

i would much rather have had bach sing and not weiland. i dont cxare how much of a "chick" he is the man is 10000x better a singer than anyone but axl and freddy mercury

Nice and respectful opinion man, but you gotta be realistic, Mercury is no longer alive, and Axl has lost his powerful voice, Scott Weiland is better singer than Axl nowadays, but obviously Axl is much more famous and a legend.

If Bach ended up in VR, I dont think he'd be friends with Axl these days hihi

That would be pretty cool, but i just cant picture it. Ive just got the weiland picture stuck in my head to much i just cant Shocked Tongue

I think if he'd been in VR it would have given VR a real "cock-rock" kinda flavour...and I think maybe they wanted something a bit more progressive so to speak than that...

But i have to say, i just saw sebastian the other day, and he is pretty cool, and to be honest I'd love to see what slash and he would have cooked up together!!

Sebastian is the coolest guy I've never met. I was listening to the Trunk show when he and Axl were on and I knew I'd get along with him so well, I'd love to meet and hang out with the guy.

I wish it would've sound "dated". I'm not a VR fan. I listened to the album {borrowed it from a? friend} and I didn't like it so I didn't buy it. Sebastian is an amazing singer. Scott was a good singer for the STP but not for the former members of Guns N' Roses. The only like good song is "Falll To Peices" which is suited to his voice while the rest is like hard rock songs with a grunge singer and I personally think it sounds bad. I won't buy the next album unless I hear a few songs that knock me off my feet and I know my friend wasn't too pleased with the VR album either. In fact all my friends are or wanted to go to the GNR concert that's coming to my town but I don't think any of them are VR fans. Bach can sing anything. Skid Row's first album was great hair metal. Their second album was like heavy metal and thrash influenced. Their third was more dark and grungy. All were amazing. All had Bach singing.

EDIT: To Carlos: All the reviews I've read and all the live clips I've heard have sounded great so I think Axl's voice is doing fine.

IMO Velvet Revolver tried to cater to modern sounds on contraband... Their were hardly any signature slash solos or riffs... it sounded like some alternative junk... What I want on the next cd is slash to go with what he knows, bluesy hard rock...

reason josh todd was passed on, is the same reason baz was.. they wanted a more modern sound...

I'm glad they picked scott for a couple of reasons,
if they had picked baz, axl would prolly never gotten in touch with that vocal coach in NYC and gotten all the help and support from baz, 'cause they would prolly never talked to each other again,.
if they had picked josh todd, we wouldn't hear from buckcherry again,. (at least for a while)
scott is an ok front man, with a good voice and it seems like scott and the other guys have chemistry..

but the best pick IMO would have been Rod Jackson, at least they should have let him audition for the job

You know the rules...

If you don't have anything to add to the discussion except "I agree" or just smileys, please don't post in that thread.  Lot of people find that kind of posts annoying. Smiley only posts are likely to get deleted since they don't contribute anything to the discussions.
