DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE DANCE TO THE RADIO

« on: June 03, 2006, 09:51:33 PM »

So, after years of waiting, we now have Axl and band on tour doing shows with the album to follow sometime this year.

Of what you have seen and heard so far - is it enough...? Is it worth the wait or is there a feeling of disappoinment...?

Is it more fun now... or was it more fun waiting and not knowing what was going to happen...?

Yea. I felt a bit let down initially, but fuck it.

The album will be out soon and all will be roses.

By the way, this horse is deader than Michael Bolton's career.

Which means a lot of people feel this way, unfortunately....  no

Well its more like this - a couple of people share the opinion, start a thread and the whole board gets riled up. Its getting less and less as the tour goes on and people come to terms with it.

(Its almost as dead as Chris Pittman's sense of fashion, lol)

i think if we had a solid set in stone release date for an album then things would be real peachy but as it is,we're all still in the dark except the end of year thingy.right now we have a whole fuckin tour to look forward to so theres no room for dissapointment  ok

And on that note about the release date - its probably the most credible release date for CD we have had yet. I dont know if it will come out then exactly, but Axl's renewed confidence and vigor inspires me that it will be out soon.

i think it is so much  better with GNR around then playing the waiting game with nothing going on.  If they can stay around long enough i think we ll get the album.  but if theres another 02 ending, then its over

It's great the band is back together and touring after four years.  I'm really looking forward to the new album though, it'll be well worth the wait!  ok

Agreed, i'm sure people are getting kind of sick and tired of hearing that the CD is coming out on this date, or that date, and the only thing that happens is another "delay" in the release of the CD.. so although i'm very happy to have GNR back playing again and excited about the potential the band has I can't help but be skeptical as to wether or not Chinese Democracy will be released this year.

So is it enough? I'd say you couldn't really ask for anything more right now, they are pretty much doing all they can
(including showing up late for shows jus like the old GNR! hihi)
We should all be happy to have a great CD and tour to look forward to ?ok

I'm less excited that I was at the time of the NY shows, but then, without seeing them (and I won't see them until Glasgow) and without a new single or album, it would be difficult to keep that level of excitment up.

Given a choice between "something happening" and "nothing happening," I'm just glad there's activity - and better yet, positive activity - with all things GnR.

It's not ideal, but it's progress, and that's enough.
