6 year old girl charged with felony for kicking teacher's aide

NAPLES, Fla. -- A 6-year-old special education student who kicked a Naples teacher's aide and spent several hous in juvenile jail is facing felony battery charges.

Her mother, however, wants to know why the case has gone so far.

Takovia Allen suffers from behavioral problems and attends a special class at Lely Elementary in Naples.

According to an arrest report, on May 2, a teacher was trying to line up students to go to music class. Takovia refused to go and kicked the teacher's aide in the ankle.

After a discussion among school officials and two law enforcement officials called to the school, the girl was arrested.

Takovia was taken to juvenile jail and held there for several hours before being released to her mother.

She is being charged with battery on a public education employee.

It's possible she will enter a program that includes counseling. If she completes the program successfully the charges could be dropped.

It may seem extreme, but I agree that the child should enter counseling.  If people let her get away with violent behavior because she's in SPED, her behavior will continue.  if she suffers from behavioral problems, she shouldn't be in a normal school.  It's not fair to expect a teacher to be attacked at school unless it's in her job description.  But to get back on topic, to charge any child that young with a felony is insane.  No child can truly understand right and wrong or the consequnces of their actions at that age.  Put the little bastard in counseling and give her an occasional ass spanking and she'll straighten right up.  If that doesn't work, we could always follow Sparta's lead....

Actually, right thread. There are unconfirmed reports that the girl kicked the teacher's aide because they wanted her to sing the mexican national anthem. To add insult to injury, they were serving tacos for lunch, which was the straw that broke the camel's back.

BUt on topic as far as that shit, harsh , cause living in NYC all my life, and knwoing the shit I did as a kid to teachers , who pissed me off, well damn glad I went tosachool in the 70s grammer that is, and my parents had the right mind to kick my ass and straighten me up fuck counceling , all I needed was a god ass wopping, and parents that were willing to do the work that parents sould do if they have children, fucking teach them right from wrong, , I could go on how I think that this country has gotetn so fuckng politically correct, and kids these day take advantage , learn shit from others, sue parents.

Fuck Im am really glad Im not a child of today, cause I wouldnt have been brought up any other way, to be the person I am, that has major respect for family, peers, adults and strangers. And humans as a hole.
