This is the greatest and best song in the world!

I think it is so hard to do a good GnR cover because Axl is so original, but it's not too bad..

I'm sorry, but I thought that was a travesty!! Yes its nice to see people doing that cuz it "raises awareness" of Gn'R, but.... oh my fucking GOD did Hoobastank STINK at that!! The singer... he stripped the song of all its passion!! There was NO emotion in that guy's voice at fucking all!! Where the fuck are his balls!? Is he afraid to show emotion? If so then he should NOT be a singer!!

Watching the other video... the one where its actually Gn'R playing it... sent shivers down my spine and brought tears to my eyes! I've seen it before, but seeing it directly after watching Hoobastink BUTCHER it... it just made it all the better.

Axl, if you read this, please please please PLEASE include Civil War in future setlists! (Especially for the Hammersmith Apollo gig! beer )

I thought it was a pretty decent version, it's pretty difficult to do anything different w/ Civil War than what GnR did, let alone doing it acoustically w/ only one guitarist!!! Civil War is my fav guns song ever and it's nice to see something different done w/ it. I know u kinda miss Axl's voice and this guy doesnt have that axl flare, but who does?

I thought it sucked to be honest, sounded like an amateur band at some lower east side bar on a wednesday night.  no "oomph" at all to it.  If you're going to cover a kick ass song by a kick ass band it better be a kick ass cover...this wasn't

I thought that it sums up what's wrong with music nowadays, and why we need Axl to come back.  Everything is so bland and generic.  Everyone sounds the same.  That guy's voice from Hoobastank is a dime a dozen in the "rock" world nowadays.

Not bad at all.
Much easier to listen to than someone trying to imitate Axl's voice.

Thats what I was thinking. If you get some of the "tribute" CDs to GNR those guys will make you WISH the guy from Hoobastank was handling the leads!

Might be easier to listen to than someone trying to imitate Axl, but there IS a way to sing in a different style and STILL make it sound good.

That Hoobastink singer just had no fucking emotion in his voice AT ALL!! At first, I thought he'd GET some emotion going, but.... nothing... not AT ALL!! ZILCH!

Ironic... by the end of that it just made me want to go out and go kill someone!! hihi I had to remedy that straightaway by shoving UYI2 on and listening to the REAL Civil War. ok

The band was pretty good and I liked the singer's energy. Too bad he can't sing.  Cry
He should be fined. I mean, bands can do what they want, but when it's criminal they should have to pay. The money could be used to help educate people about the original versions of butchered cover songs.
