I like A minor more so than C major

« Reply #3005 on: May 28, 2006, 02:42:20 PM »

but they suck.....they're not even good 80s....they're like shitty 80s...like 1983 or 1984.

for me, the 80s mean late 80s:

Appetite for Destruction
The NY Mets and Darryl Strawberry rule the planet
Motley Crue
yes, even Poison and Bon Jovi
Michael Jordan is on the verge of becoming immortal
good movies in the theaters

thats the 80s to me! the darkness suck, its sooooo sad, the music industry today is just a disaster. American Idol anyone???

Rumor has it that Axl didn't want to play too many new songs because he knew they would be broadcasted and he didn't want that to happen I guess.

Hmmmmm...

Already on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Guns-N-Roses-Live-Rock-In-Rio-Lisboa-27-05-2006-DVD_W0QQitemZ9141838789QQcategoryZ617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

It confirms the new songs were NOT aired on TV (at least on Sic), which would confirm what I said last night. I heard Axl asked TV stations not to air the new songs.

Too bad fans who watched TV just saw a greatest hits show though.

I'm not a fan of The Darkness but I think they put on a great live show.

Anyway, Merck told this to Splat: (sorry if it's been posted already)

Merck Mercuriadis has checked in with us again to update us on Guns' tour.

He says Axl and co. had fun yesterday in Lisbon, despite there being a few problems. He tells us:

Overall it was an amazing night and an amazing crowd but we had problems with the band's monitor desk blowing up and there were many times that they could not hear. Axl had a muscle spasm probably caused by the slippery stage wings that slowed him down and gave him a lot of pain and he is working with a specialist in Milan to get through it. It was a really fun show and could have been worse all things considered and we're lucky we didn't cock it up any worse than we did.

Ok, I just got a phonecall from a friend of mine who was at the show.

From what she told me, the sound there was really good considering it's an outside show. The crowd was really please with the show. There was no where Slash, at least from where she was.

She told me something interesting tho.
From what she heard, GN'R had to end the show because it was getting too late. She was really close to the tech console and she heard the guy saying that they were running late and they had to cut a few songs and that Paradise city would be play right away at the encore. So i guess Chinese Democracy or Madagascar were suppose to be played at the encore like in NY.

Just some infos I tought that I'd share with you.

Information coming from an ebay seller:

"hi

guns n' roses didn't allow the tv channel to broadcast the chinese democracy songs until the album is released (at least the host of the show has said that they will broadcast the full show sometime in the future, i guess we'll just have to wait for chinese democracy first)

this dvd has everything that the tv channel broadcast yesterday.

cheers"
